Very good speed for SingTel SIM Only plan for those Stations people complained about no data connections.

Of course this is not peak time...

I usually do not have issues using EWL underground MRT stations.

But NSL underground MRT stations can be challenging, even not at peak time, like Orchard MRT station, Newton and Novena.

Signal strength is decent, speed is pretty slow though. But at least I can browse HWZ forum and post.

Edit: or maybe Friday afternoon 4pm belongs to peak time already for NSL underground MRT stations...

Interestingly my Starhub Prepaid S 5G plan performs better than SingTel S$15.28 plan in this case for NSL.

But Singtel S$15.28 plan is much better for EWL underground MRT stations.

So it is good to have two plans if you want to have better reliability, one with Singtel network, one with Starhub or M1 network.

Return trip.

Friday afternoon 5pm is probably more like peak time. Still very fast.

Was hoping for additional roaming data for more countries

Indeed that would be good.

But I guess we can not expect too much from SingTel/M1/Starhub MNO plans.

1. Starhub is probably the best in terms of offerings (eg: free roaming voice and SMS to 165 locations, but still not good roaming data bundles). But they recently increase the lowest priced 5G Lite plan from S$22 per month to S$25. Even with Passion Card offer it is still at S$20. It has only 1GB global data and 1GB SEA data.

https://consumer.starhub.com/personal/store/mobile-plans

2. It is ridiculous that M1 Bespoke SIM only plans still charge for Caller ID in year 2026, including the Senior Plan.

https://www.m1.com.sg/personal/sim-plan

3. Singtel is not good either but the S$15.28 plan is probably the best among the big three's SIM Only plan at below S$20.

4. And based on my testing, for local usage, it beats all other MVNO plans at S$15 or below (not talking about Senior Plan here). So I have done the recontract for another 12 months.

BTW I have moved out of SingTel Fibre Internet (Feb 2012 to August 2026) to M1 after two failed attempts to negotiate with Singtel for a recontract offer. Ironically they sent me a very good 10Gbps recontract offer after my installation of M1 Fibre Internet...

wow, such low speed for Singtel network

so for those users with 5G+ Enhanced or 5G+ Priority, the speed will be better?

NSL underground stations are pretty difficult.

It is supposed to be the case that you will get better results for Singtel 5G+ Priority plans. As for 5G+ Enhanced plans, so far the reports seem to indicate not really better than the S$15.28 plan.

But this may need confirmations.

Please refer to early reports of the NSL user experience for the S$19.25 SingTel 5G+ Enhanced Lite plan, back in Nov 2025.

Happy to report that the 19.25 plan worked rather well during this morning peak hour ride 830-9. I was able to listen to radio, read news article, Reddit, received WA. Connection broke between Bishan to Braddel which require a manual trigger to restart radio. Just leaving orchard, connection went down for like 10 secs but doesn’t require manual restart (it auto connect back).

these are vast majority improvements than compared to vivifi where I could not do any one of those single item above.

Hi,

I've a question.

- sim only plus 30 (15.28), contract ending on 4/4/2027
- Enhanced Lite plan (24.50), 2x contracts ending on 16/8/2026

Can the above 3 lines recontract now to this 19.25 plan? I suppose can, right?

Note: it was previously reported in this thread that 24.50 plan cannot be recontracted directly to 15.28 plan, right?

Thanks. This plan is great for those frequent Thailand or Indonesia beside the usual Malaysia.
