Finally managed to chat with support after many tries. Guess what they said? Due to "overwhelming" demand, it will take 1 to 3 days to port over, even for Singtel numbers.

You'd think if this were so, they would at least put the announcement on their website so that everyone would know without having to try and get through to their lousy chat support.

This means including the 3 days I had to wait for delivery, I'd have paid for a week's service without being able to use it.

What rubbish, takes 1-3 days to port over from stinktel to stinktel??

I ported over previously from Stinktel to M1 and they completed the process same day, even on a Saturday.

This is why I am so going to port to M1 when I'm done using GOMO for 1 month (since I've ordered it and I can't stop SingTel to port my number, apparently, cause they die die want my $20).

I think as consumers, we cannot keep complaining how SingTel sucks but keep being their customers. We need to stop paying them and go for their competitors.

I was with Singtel since their pager days. Signed my first phone and go with Singtel. Over 18yrs with them.

Last month I did the right thing, I gave Singtel a BIG FAT NO and I jumped over to their competitor.

Couldn’t be more happy.

you also get to enjoy port-in promo of free 800mins talktime. As consumers, now we are the boss, they are not the boss, no such thing as loyalty nowadays, how much can they use to pay for our loyalty?

yeah, total 900mins for $20/mth plan is super worth it. You can use gomo for a month first, one month later. things will change again

Alrdy boycott them long ago. Sg got many telcos not only singtel. Don't know why people so gian singtel when they are bloodsuckers

ya this one true. i know some ppl die die want singtel cuz they keep thinking backed by govt so its the best.
they were far from being best now as so many yrs passes by, they even made it worse instead.
in fact they need a reality check by the consumers but who will be so united to all jump away from them to give them the wake up call. so in the end as long as they still got ppl signing for them, they wont care one

To be honest, I've had the most pleasant data experience with Singtel as opposed to StarHub and M1.... Just my $0.02 on this matter.

I'm afraid that I'd have to agree. I can understand why people dislike stinktel. Yet, their coverage is the best. M1 has weird blind spots even in town where both stinktel and starsucks work well.

Agree. But in some cases, singtel don't work well, but M1 is able too. So there is really good and bad. I've seen many cases where singtel no reception, but M1 is able to get reception.
