Can port out.
Only cons is you have to pay upfront $20
I see. Any other concerns about GOMO I should be worried about? My contract ends in June, so I'm probably switching then (if GOMO is still worth switching to)

20gb for $20
No roaming ATM
Data cut off after 20gb
No VOLTE
Charge advance payment
Cant send overseas message but you can receive.
If you need a Singtel line and reception go for it.
Otherwise you might want to consider M1 15gb @$20 plan (safra additional 5gb free) and free weekends data, on top port over additional 800mins phone call.

Thinking of changing to GOMO from Combo 2, but reading about the prepaid/postpaid issue has been worrying me. If I change to GOMO and want to port out in the future I cannot use the same number? Why?
oh man, then those who really wanted Gomo should think twice. It's an extra step to convert your plan to Singtel sim-only no-contract before porting

Hi inviztj,
Shawnng is right, GOMO does not support roaming at the moment. However, if you sign up by 30 April, you will receive a free GOMO Travel SIM for your overseas use. Worth $20, this prepaid, data-only SIM Card offers 3GB data over 10 days from your desired start date, for travelers to Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
If you use up your monthly allocation of 20GB data, simply add a Data Pump of 10GB data, 100 mins talktime and 100 SMS using the GOMO app. $10 will be charged to your credit/debit card on file. The Data Pump will last you 30 days from the day of purchase.
We have added support for iMessage and FaceTime, and GOMO users can also receive international incoming calls and SMSes, including OTPs from foreign banks and apps such as WhatsApp.
Thanks for everyone's patience as we work hard to bring other features to GOMO such as VoLTE as well as outgoing international SMSes and calls.
Thanks.
Yeah, I'm was on Singtel prepaid
I went to singtel shop to convert to postpaid "sim-only" plan
They gave me a sim card.
Then i have to go online and sign up for gomo
Now, I'll get another sim card delivered next Friday

according to the GOMO website FAQ, when you are outside SG you will still be able to receive SMS. but you won't be able to send them out nor receive/make phone calls.
wow, after reading the entire chain of posts, can see that GOMO is working to improve their features.
just wondering are users charged by Singtel or does it show differently on the credit card statement? If it's not reflected as Singtel it means that the entire GOMO is run by a separate vendor, who's just riding on Singtel's network.
Having second thoughts as well but if they continue to improve their features, I think it's a good alternative, with their very attractive 20gb per month.
Already established that it's Singtel. Not an MVNO.wow, after reading the entire chain of posts, can see that GOMO is working to improve their features.

GOMO is targeted at millennials. It's a simple no-contract plan with no bill shock.I just don't understand why they want to have both GOMO and sim only plans. It's going to be quite grey if they become too similar.
