LOL, OK, let me put in point form maybe more readable.
1. TnG ewallet app can add Youtrip card for scanning QR code payment ? Just add the card and it will auto deduct from card during payment ?
2. TnG ewallet payment transactions got any service fees or charges ? Alipay is like 3% service fee for >200RMB.
3. Anyone got use TnG ewallet in Japan to scan their PayPay QR codes to pay ?
Very hard to answer you but I try...

1. TnG is an ewallet and you can use the app to topup using credit or debit card.
1.1. There is an option for you to auto reload your TnG ewallet if you want.

2. Using TnG payment in Malaysia there are no service fee.
2.1. Alipay is a payment gateway that allow you to pay with TnG but got service fee.

3. Answer you in point 2. But this question is off topic, i suggest you ask in japan thread. My point of view, it doesnt make sense for a Singaporean using TnG to make payment in japan... I would use iChangi, youtrip, trust, to pay. But maybe there is better deal using TnG to pay in japan?

Now that I have a better understanding of how TnG works based on everyone's reply, it makes no sense., haha. For TnG in Japan, my transaction forex path is Youtrip SGD to RM to Yen. ( and not what I originally thought Youtrip SGD to Yen. ) I thought it might be something like Alipay in China, Youtrip SGD to RMB. Thanks.

1. Added Trust debit card to TnG. E wallet is always zero. Any scanning for payment, or barcode for payment, the Trust card will be activated for payment and notification via the app of the transaction. Hence, Trust savings account is still earning interest, as opposed to Youtrip.

So this Trust card auto activated for payment is the auto reload option in operation ? Meaning it is not necessary to top up eWallet first before using it to pay, if the card added is a savings account-linked debit card ?

"Touch 'n Go is a contactless smart card system used for electronic payments in Malaysia."

Doubt one can bypass the MYR

Correct. Take note of the 1 percent charge for reload of ewallet, using Credit card as of 23 February.

Youtrip card can turn on this auto reload ?
Better you go to the TnG app to familiarize with its auto reload limits ie how much available balance in eWallet before triggering auto reload; & then how much to reload.

So say you want to reload RM 50 every time your balance hits RM 20 & below. This will ensure there's always some balance in the eWallet.

Today their ApplePay very reliable. Made about 10-12 transactions, only one declined, second time went through, the other transactions all first time successful.
