what interest rates?

no interest rates lah... The money you draw in ringgit is directly and immediately debited from your s'pore saving account provided there is sufficient $$ inside, otherwise you will not be able to draw any out.

It is common for Malaysian ATMs to have a max of RM1,500 per withdrawal. Not sure about UOB, but Maybank ATMs are like that.

A new ruling to prevent fraud has made all overseas ATM withdrawal only opened upon request (just need to call and activate once).

The new UOB service where there is NO service charge and using the prevailing rate is EXCELLENT! ;)

Any idea which rate they use? Is it the daily TT/OD rate as per UOB Malaysia page?

Under the bank notes rates. Anyone try changing at their branch? Not sure whether they will entertain if we bring cash to change?

I tried during last CNY 2013. UOB/Maybank/PublicBank/CIMB all said quota finished for whole month, so cannot change. So, donno how their quota works?
