I'm not sure it's the latest version or iPhone 4S, there is no vibration for some messages coming in.

Like for example, there is vibration for the first message, then maybe within 10 second, 2nd message comes in, but this time round there is no vibration...

Strangely, this doesn't happen to the normal SMS...

if my phone is locked, it won't prompt me of incoming messages (no sound/vibration) until i manually unlock the phone then i'll see it. happens to me for both active/silent profiles.

oh ya, forgot to add in one more thing, sometimes the messages will appear all in one go (stacked up), instead of prompt whenever a new message comes in.

hopefully it's some whatsapp issue.

Same here attaching photo from album hangs for few seconds. Dunno if it's the same issue I have on photo album, every time I delete photo there will be a lag for few secs too

Not sure is it my problem or a software bug but my whatsapp will use cellular data instead of WiFi even when WiFi is on.

But whatsapp works on WiFi when the phone is airplane mode.

Maybe trivial but imagine using 4S on iOS 5 or 5.0.1, you are using the 3G to send out message, even when WiFi is on, makes the battery lasting time short.

What talking you? With wifi, whatsapp still will work and send out messages. Don't believe? Try take out whole sim card, enable wifi, you will still be able to whatsapp.

i got a fren number, who can send to me and i can send to the party.

but the party number although is in my contact list, the whatsapp list will never show. the party say the friends also cant see the number on whatsapp list.

anybody encounter this before?

Try update your contact list from whatsapp? I rmb there's a place where u can update the contact list

i also know all this. but this is totally a unique case.

refresh from favorites, exit the whatsapp and reload is the usual 2 method.

both fail.

but most likely i guess this issue is cause from the other party, because the other party fren also same problem.

Had a issue last night. Couldnt connect to whatsapp server. It was 'connecting' for ages. Both on wifi and 3G. So decided to do a backup on iTunes before reinstalling whatsapp. But it started working right after backing up. No idea why.
