Yes.. you will still be shown as available. However, judging from the time you were last online, your friends would be able to guess you are no longer using it.

I think you people really need to get Twitter accounts and follow WhatsApp at @wa_Status.

there an outage in process. our engineering is working on the problem. will update as we learn more. (@ 1:45AM PST)

Actually, dont even need a twitter account or follow their tweet, just need to check under Whatsapp's Settings> System Status.

Notification does not wake up my device

Whenever I get whatsapp notification when my device is off, I can only get the vibration but my screen does not wake up to show me the notification

i tried to customize the alert tone from whatsapp like this i found it here in the archives..but i doesn't work.

does anybody have an idea what i did wrong?

i followed the Easy Steps until part ii). then rather than copy my ringtone (caf) format in, i replaced one of the original tones, eg Tri-tone.caf with my custom tone.

then from now on, tri-tone.caf sounds like my custom tone liao.
