Ever wonder the poor viewing angle is to prevent ppl beside u from looking at ur phone? The Japanese are quite particular. Maybe this is part of privacy set by the Sony.

No. The poor viewing angle does not prevent others from actually reading the text or pictures on the screen. It's not a feature, but a limitation of the screen used in the Z.

If it were a feature, you can bet Sony (or any other company) will proudly and loudly advertise it as the first phone to have a privacy filter built in.

..That would be the Pantech Vega series. I can toggle an option on the phone and it switches on a privacy filter. SHIOK!!!

TBH, i dont really care. my handphone is for my use and i only share once in a while like pics and videos.

so 90% of the time it will be direct view.

Yes, 10.1.A.1.350 is the latest.

Yes I know. I was using my dad's Singtel plan to collect the preorder and they said I had to get at least 1Gb of data if I wanted the XZ (my own plan of 200Mb also cannot ) He doesn't need data so I didn't recontract.

Luckyily I finally got the Starhub preorder reply last night. Hoping that somebody with Starhub has experience recontracting a 4G phone with Starhub.

I JUST called starhub and the young man say need to change to a 4G plan (lesser bundled data)

Maybe i misunderstood your question

But my problem is that I am using a 3G Smartsurf 100 plan that is not due for recontract

but I got a 4G phone

CSO say cannot enable my plan to have 4G unless i change plan (without need to recontract)

but i will lose my corporate discounts and need to apply again
