there is actually another way that i found out by using the microsoft outlook. you need to sync your contacts on your phone to your outlook account (may need to use outlook connector). then go outlook to export your contact that you sync earlier into a readable format (microsoft excel comma separated values file) for yor phone. transfer the file into your phone and go to your contacts' function to extract all your contacts... and its done!

however its pretty much a hassle, you might prefer to enter it 1 by 1 if you does not have alot of contacts.!

Got it resolved...

Guys before you hit the FACTORY RESET, do check the ERASE INTERNAL MEMORY as well. I did factory reset the first time, my LED wasnt working.

I did it the second time by wiping out the internal memory also, the LED notification is working and also my Silent mode issue is solved..

Great, glad that it was resolved as I know it is a firmware corruption issue.

i plug in my z into pc companion and it prompt me to update
bite the bullet and update
after that no more notification for update
but the firmware, baseband all is the same leh
dunno what is the update for

doesnt work for me because i did that twice

I think the "dont restore from Google" is correct because I had the LED working once and stopped working after i start installing apps and stuffs

Daniel maybe your LED light (hardware) is faulty. i would advise sending it to Sony for repair.

no they are not faulty

i tested them with the service menu

and they light up during charging (and turns green when more than 91%)
