Hi guys,
How much time your XZ takes to get fully charged?
I started charging at 1% and its charging since last 4 hours - charged only 48% !!!
Could anyone test plz..

With a slow .5a charger it can be slow. But not with the stock charger. Are you running weird apps in the BG?

my guess is a long long time later, sony has a reputation of slowly pushing out updates, maybe even aft HTC one and S4 out....

Sony has a reputation of being quite fast with updates actually... Especially since the whole source is made public by them.

I think you're still stuck in the 2009 SE era.

Yeah... SE Arc era. We're way beyond that now. SE also came out and said they would no longer to such tight kernel integration of timescape, etc, to speed up software updates. And so far Sony has been doing things even better.

You are spot on. Those days with sony + ericsson was horrible. Poor product spec, poor software support. Ericsson got kicked and now Sony is getting everything right.

Just tested the GPS with Google navigation. Accurate and batt life seems okay 8 % for 20 mins drive.

Bluetooth connection with my car okay but dialing tone have problem.

I doubt so this time as the history of slow updates are during Sony Ericsson times but now it is Sony alone and the Jellybean updates for other models are quite fast this time.

I will rather wait a little longer for a more stable firmware rather than having frequent updates to fix certain issues at a time which can be quite irritating.

Wait for stable firmware is better than get earlier buggy firmware.

Im still waiting for my TX to get JB update!

Sony's settings very ma fan

GPS, BRIGHTNESS, VOLUME, SCREEN ROTATION all no shortcut at the notification pull-down bar

Samsung much better at this

I also dulan everytime plug out my charger/usb cable, the phone prompts me to "unplug from socket to save energy"

EVERYTIME! And no option to disable! wtfbbqqqqqqqq

Sammy phone dont have data toggle at notification bar, or maybe my gs2 dont have.

No need to compare sammy phones, you want additional toggles then there are apps in play store.

Regarding screen colour and viewing angle, it is a personal preference issue. Personally, I prefer the Zxperia natural screen colour and viewing angle. Although it is not the best viewing angle, it does deter a bit but not totally from busy body people looking at your phone while you are doing your stuff. But of course, privacy screen protector is the best solution. Samsung screens were so vibrant until some photo looks like graphics. So pick correctly whichever you want in your phone functions in order to decide the purchase. Maybe by April when Samsung launch its eight core S4 and maybe everyone start selling away their Zxperia, S3 and Note 2. There will never be an ultimate phone. Buy what you really like.

actually not really bother about viewing angle or compare to other phone
in fact is ok if cannot see from the sides
but even if trying to read at my comfortable angle, not really impressive

Strange leh, how come you all keep having issues with the notification led. I have no issues at all. Strange!

My observations from S and TX shown that LED notification is consistent for sms, calls, missed calls and some other stock functions of the phone.

Some third-party apps like whatapps may not work normally with the LED notification. It seems to be a matter of compatibility.

Note 2 V/s Xperia Z

As I am coming from Galaxy Note 2, I want to compare XZ & Note2.

Pros:
-Beautiful Design
-Waterproof
-Good Camera (Rear only)

Cons:
-Speaker position is horrible
-Poor Battery Life
-Front Camera not so good
-Overheating Issues (can tolerate as its waterproof)
-Cannot use Default Launcher with Xperia Widgets: Lags like anything

WHAT I AM MISSING COMING FROM NOTE 2:
-MultiWindow
-Large Screen
-Customizable Notification Bar

Went with friend to buy Z, seem impressed with the phone.

I think the viewing angle of the phone is good, not really that bad or washed out under normal in-door lighting.

Usb otg was attached to the phone to transfer files from previous phone, works good and files transfer were nicely completed.

Found no back-up and restore app, which is available in my TX and previous XS.
But I managed to send it over to Z and restore files to the phone, no problems with using back-up and restore app on Z.

Initial impressions that the phone scrolling is quite smooth, only minor hiccups occurred while usb otg was plugged in to transfer many files (2k+).

Overall, a phone quite value for money with good specs. and considering the contract price is lesser than some of the competiting flagship phones.

See if you guys agree with me. Since the batteryGuru is like the snapdragon version of stamina mode, why dont we just turn off stamina mode and switch to using batteryguru instead, this way, we will have all the led notification we need from the standard app and also 3rd party app like whatsapp and others.

You have 'small apps' to compensate for so called multiwindows, and last time I checked, multiwindows are not helping your phone to conserve much energy.

Slightly smaller screen in Z provides better ergonomics, I can hold the Z and use it with one hand. For note2, it is harder to hold and use with one hand.

There are apps to customize your notification bar. Period.
