damn sian. my Z has been sent in for repairs for slightly more than a week le. I strongly reminded the cso that this is my one and only usable phone and he actually nicely say will urge the engineer to do it asap. Till now still no news...
Usually how long does it take ah??? :(

At this rate, I hope they just give me a new set replacement and I will sell it off to get a new phone le. sianz half...

I really can understand why fellow users are so angry with the repair centre le. I brought my set in for repair on 7 Sep. I told the cso clearly this is my only set of smart phone, so I need it soonest. He nicely said will highlight to the repair team to see to it asap. Yesterday I called, guess what? I was told they are waiting for parts with unknown timeline... WTF?!
They have good 9 working days and 3 weekends to work on the phone, and till this very minute now the status is still "not ready". IMO, 2 days to find error, 1 day to raise part, 3 days for parts to reach. Is this too much to ask? I wonder if their Japanese HQ is aware of such atrocious service outside Japan...

the parts do not come from japan. probably malaysia.

Moreoever, parts are not delivered by sony, but some other 3rd party refurbishing factory, such as flextronics.

sianz... I think the flap for the charging/connector did not seal properly, and water got in after I washed it just now...

there is a red colour patch - I guess that means water has seep in, right?

anyone knows whether I can get it repair foc? or must pay how much? ;*(

and I wonder how long the repair is going to take...

Just send it in and argue till they repair for free. If not, the plastic piece of crap cost 50 dollar.

I wish I can argue till they repair for free, but I guess it was carelessness on my part ;( didn't check the flaps before washing after my 5km run.

anyway, they need to replace the plastic flap? or some internal parts? cos nothing happens when I plug in the cable already... but the phone is still working perfect.

:(

They will most likely open up to check for corrosion. If got corrosion, they will try to clean it. Plastic flap, you got to try your luck already.

When they open your phone to check for corrosion, they got to change a few parts already.

T.T

I don't think it will corrode so fast bah... less than 24 hours. Unless they drag and drag until a few days later then open to see.

The lady said warranty will be voided if corrosion! ;(

Anyway, saw the Z1 at the same time. It is really heavier but looks premium to me. Maybe when I get back the Z, I may consider selling it and wait for Z1...

hey, after applying some privacy screen protector, the left side of my screen along the edge is not sensitive anymore.

Could i be the privacy protector or just my screen? Cant really peel out the protector as i just applied it :(
