I brought from Singtel retailer. So it is classified under SG generic?

If you bought from ST, it has ST local firmware.

The rest is Generic local firmware, even from SH or M1.

Yup, those who has Singtel cust ID got the update first, generic SG not receiving yet (as of now).

The cust code for ST sets: 1270-0743

I think only ST sets have 4.3 update at the moment.
The generic SG sets are still waiting for update.

Sometimes unbranded sets get updates before branded sets.

at least this time the stinktel/sony bloatware didn't come back after I updated. unlike previous times.

I presumed you meant unlocking bootloader to flash roms, which voids warranty and remove the DRM files.

I'd prefer not to unlock bootloader for Sony phones though. cos Sony ROMs work well even with locked bootloader.. brands like HTC will insist on bootloader unlock before you can run recovery and flash ROM.. and when I used Samsung last time no need to say I will unlock so I can flash ROMs to change the whole TouchWiz UI

no more singtel. cant update now
