8gb/128gb at $759 with $10 + $40 voucher is not a bad deal for a brand new 8+ gen 1 phone with global rom (2 years warranty). China rom phones no need compare as it is very cheap.
The 16gb/256gb is also reasonable but hardly anyone needs 16gb in their phone and most people don't need more than 128gb actually - so might as well save some cash. Anyway, its only in green whereas the black 8gb/128gb is all-weather.

Pros: OLED 120hz with VRR. Global rom. Reasonable price. 8+ gen 1 chip which has resolved the overheating issues (but still slower perf than Apple chips), Flat screen. Do remember to enable performance mode on the phone. Geekbench 5 multi-core 4022, Wild life extreme stress test 2700 ish, Stability 94.3%.
Cons: Non-flagship camera system, no wireless charging, plastic phone (may not be a con for some), no IP rating (?)

There was the poco f4 earlier this year but it was a disappointment with overheating.
8 gen 1 phones generally had a lot of overheating issues and were not a good purchase and also didnt offer that much better performance than the snapdragon 888 series.

Obviously, to avoid all these overheating issues etc, a pre-owned iphone 12 128gb with an A14 will be about the same price ($700 - $800). Just for those considering.

Personally i bought the black 8gb/128gb at $759. So, Nett for me will be below $750 as using cashback credit cards. Its good that pre-orders get $200 off instead of doing something irritating like giving free wireless buds.

Pre-order price is back on Shopee for $809 (before vouchers) for 8gb/128gb but I guess its not eligible for the first 100 lucky draw (?) to get the possible free phone and also no more additional $10 discount voucher.
