I just noticed Gemini is preloaded with the lastest Android 14 update release. Quite fun to play with. 14.0.0.501 release.

Latest update caused my phone to be unresponsive frequently.
I also encountered it. It is after the app optimization. However it only occurs when i first open some apps after the update. After that the issue seems to not occur again after the 1st opening and closing of the app in question. Seems ok for me now.

My export set OP11 has gotten the dreaded green line on screen after just 1 year and 6 months of use . Local oppo service centre doesn't want to support even if I'm willing to pay. Mister mobile quoted $218 for screen replacement. Anyone encountered similar issue and is the repair worthwhile and lasting?

Sorry to hear that. I got my official OP11 in Feb'23, got greenline issue in Aug'24. Free screen replacement from Oppo (Oneplus) service center. Wait time about 3 weeks. Maybe ask around neighbourhood mobile shops, if no choice, i guess go with Mister Mobile if you still using it for another year since the phone still run smooth and good condition.

From my brief interaction with the oppo service centre, they don't seem to keep stock of parts for previous generation oneplus models so I think they order on demand. But still abit ridiculous to have such a long turnaround considering phone is within warranty.

I got my local OnePlus 11 around Feb 23 possibly more than 2 years ago... Got green line yesterday just a few days after applying update. Updaters beware. So sad

Any idea how OnePlus service centre handles out of warranty cases? I heard at some Samsung centres you need to kick up a fuss before they replace.

I heard as long as within warranty they will replace the screen but the TAT i very long. It be better to move to another phone or use a backup phone before sending for repair 2weeks + if i remember correctly. I gana on OnePlus 9 so ended up buying 11.

Yes... I used the OnePlus website to check my activation date - 14 mar 2023. So definitely just out of warranty. I was going home on the evening when the green line appeared
if thats the case 14 mar 2023, its still in warrenty.. go to the service center to log a case even if SC has no ready stock, at least you reported the incident b4 the warrenty ended

Thanks for sharing! I went down early early today was in line 2 hours before they opened 😅

Their system had my warranty as starting from 14 mar 2023, so still under warranty.

I was also checking what the cost would have been if it had been out of warranty. The lady replied that if it is a local set, IMEI registered within their system, no damage/water ingress etc and out of warranty, it would cost $55 to replace, so not a bad thing too. And, they had the parts in stock so 2 hour replacement.

Pretty happy about this, all things considered.

Glad it was resolved and lucky for the warranty date to be valid. Quick question, did they need to format your phone b4 sending it in? Coz I believe some service center do require the customer to format the phone, saying is for security reasons

They warned there may be data loss but did not seem to require formatting.

I chose to do factory reset anyway. Spent all of last night migrating to another phone, and gonna spend tonight migrating back...
