officially theres no way to remove it anymore with the new OxygenOS, but a "temp" way of doing it is disabling Google app in app management and re-enabling. It will revert back once you restart the phone

Any good full screen tempered screen to recommend? Curved screen a bit hard to find good ones. Tried those that need UV glue then bake under UV lighting on my previous OP11, works but kinda messy I feel.

comes with screen protector applied already. else i recommend smartdevil screen protector from taobao
