How bad are vivo speakers. The op 12 speakers a lot don't like it and it's not rated well in reviews.

really? from the chinese reviews I remember not much praise but not much complaints too, and some mention is better than OP11 at least. from some samples it's louder and more mids focused. but still lose to iQOO 12 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.

Then for X100S i've seen reviews commenting that mids sounds a bit thin and not as good as iQOO 12 and Xiaomi too. i haven't seen any direct comparison between these 2 phones, but i went back to compare the sound demo 花生説 did for their OP12 review vs the sound demo they did on the X100S, and does feel that way to me. like vocals a bit thin on X100S, and i'm already listening on a pair of earphones that are a bit on the warmer and thicker side liao. It's probably still usable and not exactly bad, but probably just won't be as good. if not was actually quite tempted to try since the price is quite low now on Lazada. 646SGD for base model X100s. but then after researching on bilibili, gave up on the idea and decided to stick to my iQOO 12 instead since gaming experience more important to me haha. gaming experience is the same reason ended up deciding not to hoot OP12 also despite the really good pricing now haha.

OP 12 have same complain, ppl say sound thin as it is loud but not comfortable due to the being thin. It's the lack of low bass which is the problem with these phones. Hopefully OP 13 will have better speakers and camera too.

i see. hope so, and hope no more curved screen however unlikely that is. haha. they already have one of the best haptics liao, plus even using USB3.2 unlike iQOO 12 and vivo X100S. if they can build on what was already good on OP12 and improve it further, maybe will be a good option next year. their sister company iqoo 12 pro IIRC has a very highly rated speaker setup from reviews I've seen, and the OPPO find n3 has the best speakers i've heard on a phone so far too. if only they were using that speaker hardware.

Also really hope they would have more gaming features too like letting games like Genshin run at higher resolution. Having flagship chip but then only letting the game run at default 720P resolution is like such a waste. Xiaomi has given the option to go 864P and higher for a while liao. vivo can go 900P or higher too. The "upscaling" feature that I tried on the Ace 3 using the pixelworks chip is just like a sharpening filter on the screen itself, and while it looks sharp, it also looks a bit fake and the effect doesn't reflect in screenshots or screen recordings when i tried it.

I bought from taobao, change to global rom myself, but now faced the region lock issue and can't make calls...anyone can help??

i remember someone mentioning the seller have to use china sim to unlock the region first then flash global rom.

try chat with the seller to see if can return or if u can mail the phone back for them to unlock and they mail back i guess

It works fine if I have a china SIM in, just tedious because I'll be losing one SIM slot. And lazy to reflash which I can do it myself. Thought of finding another easier way out lol

If you look back at the post, seems like both bank apps and singpass should work now.

The cons right now is no official local OnePlus warranty and can't use e-sim. But for the e-sim, there is a workaround shared by one of the bros here.

Not so fast got region lock, it's all the while have region lock since OP11 days, please read correctly. And the one that kena is coz he bought direct from taobao. Up till now all of us who bought with Lazada and shopee with oxygenos preinstalled no problems
