highly doubt it is official global since not even out yet. how would the sellers even have access to "global" rom. even if really have full google services built in, it could be some sort of frankenstein ROM that isn't official. the one that i recall is OnePlus Ace 2 Pro which is a CN only phone with no release outside CN at all, but at that time there were listing on Aliexpress for a "global ROM", which is obviously impossible since there is no global version. it ended up being a customised ROM with a bunch caveats like having no OTA.

no idea if it's that or not, or maybe Oneplus really is planning to launch the global version soon and some sellers somehow was able to get official global ROM, but it really feels like such a stretch lol.

as to why slow to release for global, it's better to think of it as them launching early in China rather than the other way round because they are a chinese company based in China. easier, faster, and likely cheaper to get things done. the "delay" likely is because need to make the global rom, test it, gotta test it in the markets they're intended for as well and get regulatory approval, etc. like last year with OP12, i believe they ended up releasing outside of China about the same time as S24 series. but can only hope they are planning to speeding things up.

by the way, the 13 and i think 13R are already on IMDA database.

Think might as well use china rom. Only slight inconvenience but should still be useable

Those who wanna use as main daily phone and rather not deal with any issues due to it being CN rom, better get the actual global rom version, cn flashed or local. Lesser issues in the long run

Err, can enlighten me on the difference between 13 & 13R? Which is the flagship model?

in this case i definitely agree. using a frankenstein ROM just feels to iffy for me. but in the end, CN ROM is something that is quite subjective. it might work for me because all the apps i need works perfectly fine for me and the things it's lacking compared to global ROM are things I don't care about, but not everyone uses their phones the same way, uses the same set of apps, etc.

in the end, for those outside of China and relying on Google Play Store to install apps, there are bound to be some apps that might not work, or might have some inexplicable behaviour. one example is that on vivo's originOS, the telegram app's text input field will occasionally turn transparent for whatever reason. need to swipe away the app and relaunch completely to fix. CN HyperOS and CN ColorOS both no such issue and it's only specifically the telegram app and nothing else. tried my hardest, but couldn't figure out why. end up just switch to using Telegram X instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the only way to know if it works for you or not is to use it yourself. so like tkte_85 mentioned, if not sure and not willing to take a risk and try, or not willing to sometimes needing to figure out some workarounds, better to just wait for global. cause at this point, no idea even if it will be possible to flash from CN to Global ROM like the OnePlus 12. anyway at launch prices might not be too attractive anyway, so might as well wait a bit. :ROFLMAO:

13 is the flagship, and 13R (which will likely be the Ace 4 in China) hasn't even launch in China yet and will be like a more budget option likely with last gen's flagship chip.

A little birdy tell me global launch will be early jan 2025. HQ still working out the launch promo (free gifts etc) and the pricing

Colors wise: white, black and blue leather for 16gb 512gb

Lower spec variant 12gb 256gb tbc whether will be brought in or not as price difference with 16gb 512gb is not alot

Nice. Hope that they can be more sensible with the price. The retail price of the OP12 is just hard to swallow coz the same price can get Samsung flagship.
