I won't consider $900 as normal pricing, it's definitely super inflated. There are several shops in qoo10 still selling the 128 GB at $760 plus. That's the price range u should look at

Problem is while most of the Qoo10 display price as $760+ when you actually go in to select on the different options it comes with the ++ and end up $900+. AT House stays at $769 though, but doesn't seem as trustworthy given the feedback from members here, and the lack of reviews on their page. Would be great if you could share an alternative with the same price range. Meanwhile Lazada seems to start from $851+ for 128GB.

Anyone managed to migrate WhatsApp from iPhone to op5T?
Have your migrated your WhatsApp from iPhone to android before?

I've not done it yet personally but since I will be converting from iPhone to Android myself too (been an apple user for 6 years+) I did some searching to prepare myself for migration of data and found the only way (there my be others but I can't seem to double-confirm it actually works) is through a paid app function, namely 'wazzapmigrator'. Costs a couple of bucks but highly recommended by numerous individuals who have successfully migrated their WhatsApp data from iPhone to Android, and easily it seems. Their customer service/q&a is great as well, responding to any queries one might have within hours/the day itself.

If you're looking for a free option, you might notice people mentioning iCloud backup, but some say this doesn't really work because of how Android reads iCloud? Personally I'd rather spend the couple of bucks to ensure I retain my WhatsApp history but that's just me.

Hi guys, would like your advice please. Got a $25 Qoo10 Xmas coupon but it’s valid for 2 days only. Understand there would be an end-of-year sale on Qoo10 next week. So based on your past experiences, do you think it’s better to hoot now or next week? Thanks in advance.

Your question is just like asking if it's a good time to buy bitcoin now based on past experience.

Can't guarantee there would be another sale, not even if they had it before this time last year. It's really on you to decide. If you're worried after ordering now and saving $25 they later introduce a $100 discount or something, then why not use the $25 for a different purpose first since it only lasts 2 days. Not exactly sure how much they are but you could consider getting certain accessories first too with the discount, like the tempered glass or casing; that is only if you are certain of getting the OP5T phone eventually. Or spend it on other unrelated/small items.

iPhone user here since iPhone 3G. I only backed up my contacts via google drive. Everything else is manual as I feel its necessary to start afresh since its a completely different OS. Don't wanna have any clutter from my previous phone to be brought over

I believe when it comes to WhatsApp backup to google drive only works from Android not iOS. Haven't been able to find a reliable source this works for cross migration iOS to Android, and at no additional cost. Not sure about other aspects like iPhone Notes, Contacts, Messages, Photos and Music, but there are alternatives for those without using a paid app.

While I understand you prefer having a fresh start moving to a different OS, it may be important for some users to retain their message history and media so...yeah. Personally my biggest concern for migration is WhatsApp and iPhone Notes, and like I've mentioned on a previous post (to anyone else considering using the paid app for migration of WhatsApp data), a couple of bucks to safely transfer over such information is well worth it, unless of course it doesn't matter - such as for yourself who prefer starting anew. =)

Think Xiaomi Store, Newstar and Simder are alternatives. Simder selling cheapest now amongst all the rest

Hmm I've got a couple of questions regarding some of the accessories; it is my first time purchasing a phone off Qoo10, or online for that matter. Been used to the typical visit to Starhub/Singtel/M1 to purchase a phone and contract together and trust their service throughout so all of this is very new to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong

1. Some of the Qoo10 stores have this 'Add on fast charger adapter'; isn't it something that should already included in the purchase of the phone? Do they mean an additional one (but why would anyone want two though). While on that note I see two different types 'XPower WC3Q3' and 'XPower x4WT' for the fast charger adapters; what's the difference?

2. Silicon Casing add-on, I assume useful as a temporary cover for the phone until purchasing a better phone cover?

3. Oneplus 3 Pin adaptor ($19) add-on, again is this not already included in the phone purchase within the phone box?

4. I notice the AT House page mentions their phone being 'Oxygen Version'. Don't all OnePlus phones run on Oxygen OS, if that's what they meant? Unless its something different, a clarification would be nice.

5. What do they mean by 'China set', other than the obvious in that it comes from China. I mean, how does it differ? As a non-Chinese person, and as stupid as this question sounds, I worry certain instructions or stuff in phone would be in Chinese instead of English.

6. The safety mark approved plug add-on, it's not necessary is it? I mean if I have like the standard ones at home anyway.

Just to clarify, the casing and screen protector you mean you went for their '+ $6.00 Tempered Glass and TPU Case' add-on is it?

Also do they help you apply the tempered glass onto the phone? Heard applying it for OnePlus phone is harder than typical screen protectors.

As for WhatsApp messages, refer to previous posts on 'wazzapmigrator'.

Currently considering Xiaomi store since it includes tempered glass + casing as add-on and someone's received them (seeing couple posts back). As for Simder I read some pages back of their lack of response/update or notice at all from those that order from them. Not even sure if they received their phones till now. Unsure about AT House too.

Edit: Missed out on Newstar. Noticed most of their reviews are from June hence the OP5 instead of OP5T, though it does provide a form of testament to their service regardless. Anyone else got their OP5T from Newstar? Would be good to get a review of some sort =)

Go try Xiaomi Store then. They have the best reviews. The tempered glass and casing which they charge extra $6 for, is it even good at all? If not then might as well use the in built film protector and later on get a proper glass protector that's been properly tested and reviewed

Not too sure either, was doubtful about their tempered glass too. I can afford to wait a few days or a week first to see if there's any better deals, though Xiaomi store says 4 qty left which I presume would mean fast delivery for ready stocks if ordered now.

I looked at their Q&A section someone asked,
'Is screen protector and phone casing included? Just asking so that I can buy separately from somewhere else if not included'

and their response was 'Shame to tell you that it doesn’t include tempered glass and casing :('

And I thought the phone by default (with its box) comes with screen protector and casing. Rokmar (who posted earlier) did mention receiving them but not sure if he opted the $6 add-on; shall wait for his response.

Would suggest stick with the default screen protector first. It's the best one for OnePlus.

will try to answer a bit...

This is probably an additional one. Call it upsell or recommendations, those are all optional.

2. Silicon Casing add-on, I assume useful as a temporary cover for the phone until purchasing a better phone cover?

There should already be a dark grey TPU casing in the box itself as part of the package.

3. Oneplus 3 Pin adaptor ($19) add-on, again is this not already included in the phone purchase within the phone box?

The one in the box is a US/China 2 prong OnePlus charger. Again, this one is more like upsell. In box you get the charger and cable already.

4. I notice the AT House page mentions their phone being 'Oxygen Version'. Don't all OnePlus phones run on Oxygen OS, if that's what they meant? Unless its something different, a clarification would be nice.

Most shops are selling China set since it's the cheapest and easiest to get. China uses HydrogenOS (slightly different version, no google play services). So their supplier will normally flash it to OxygenOS before shipping it over. Continue below...

5. What do they mean by 'China set', other than the obvious in that it comes from China. I mean, how does it differ? As a non-Chinese person, and as stupid as this question sounds, I worry certain instructions or stuff in phone would be in Chinese instead of English.

So after flashing to OxygenOS, it's essentially the same phone as other country. There is only one SKU for the phone. The differences will just be maybe the booklets you see inside, the text on the outside of the box, the plug type for the charger.

6. The safety mark approved plug add-on, it's not necessary is it? I mean if I have like the standard ones at home anyway.

This one i'm guessing is the adapter to convert the US/China 2 prong plug, to a UK plug. I've seen these on sale at those generic budget stores in neighbourhood area for like a dollar or 2.

Good to know, thanks!

Oh man, thank you so much for the detailed response; definitely helped more than just a bit. Did some searching to learn about the Hydrogen and Oxygen OS thing, didn't know anything about Hydrogen before. Now I understand its meant for china market hence converting to Oxygen for rest of us outside of China to use.

Feel more comfortable now just getting the phone/box set without any unnecessary add-ons. Appreciate the response!

Most likely going with Xiaomi store but going to give this a day or two to think it through first; will update here when I order =)
