coming from a long term iPhone user and also having played around w a few friends' s8; This is a damn worthy buy. Still feeling the shiokness from how fast everything opens, and gaming on this phone is really nice as it doesn't heat up very quickly.

Is there any other ways to unlock the phone without the fingerprint scanner/power button then face ID?... like maybe a gesture like double tap screen to take face ID to unlock the phone? Thinking how would drivers unlock their mounted phones.

Should hv kept that phone as spare la.. 230 is not worth selling imo. 6gb is still plenty in 2018 to be honest and op3t community will keep the phone going for quite sometime also

I place it under the aircon (using those magnetic car holders) double tap to wake the phone, it actually can detect my face and unlock.

You can double tap to wake and then swipe up to unlock with passcode. There's also a smart unlock feature that keeps the phone unlocked when for example you're connected to a certain device.

After using it for a few days I can get it to about an entire day's use before I have to activate reading mode in order to save battery.
