Unless you are going to have a transparent back case, if not I think it doesn't really matter if your phone is red or black :)

The Star Wars one would be the true rare one I feel.
Star wars got simi difference from the black/red? Only pattern different?

True... I suppose the consolation would be having red on the sides for the buttons and sliders at least, hahah. I wouldn't pay a premium for a colour change but if it is the same price I'd still pick the red over black.

I have a question though, kind of stupid but being the noob that I am... Since the Lava Red version was meant to be an exclusive release for Chinese market only, is there any possibility of the phone differing from the original internally, like I don't know, Chinese interface or something? Or is it expected to be exactly the same minus just the physical feature/colour change, such that the exporters would have them converted to OxygenOS and be used like any other sets they sell?

It's just white instead of black/red and has the Star Wars logo on the back, and a red slider button on the side. Oh and it comes with its own Star Wars box set, with its default casing being a Star Wars themed one too.

Edit: A quick search on the Star Wars edition in Singapore and there's someone selling it here for $400 (?!) unopened. (Craigslist lol)

If i recalled correctly, the lava red is just colour different and Oneplus phone very easy to flash oxygenos if the seller don't do it for u.

For the craigslist ad, if it is too good to be true, probably it is.

Yeah, colour change for a premium is just too weird for me to accept. Unless you run the phone naked. Most back of the phones looks unidentifiable to me nowadays unless I ask them anyways.

Anyway OP phones is very open on the software, if there is a difference between the lava red and black, chances are you are able to switch to the one you want.

This is a link on the extra/special items in the Star Wars pack. Easter Egg for Star Wars fan, which I thought would be cool if I were a die hard fan.

Yeah. The software community is really active for OP phones. Can easily change the ROM if you wish to as well, as it doesn't void the warranty (not that it matters for us anyways)

Maybe Xiaomi Store ran out of stock?

I'm inclined to wait for a while more for a few more upcoming discounts.. One person in another thread mentioned that there might be a 300-50 discount upcoming, much better than Xmas.

Was thinking price will stablize in about a month or so..

That's valuable information for me, at least I know my Anker charger won't be useless even if my Dash Charger spoils. Thanks!

The problem with the Qoo10 cart coupons is that it doesn't apply to those Daily Deals or Time Sale items and from the past 12.12 experience, it's not applicable to any of the oneplus 5t sellers until they artificially raised their prices to a ridiculous $1k and added their own shop coupon, which brought it back down to the usual price anyway and we only saved $9 for the 128gb version, which was pathetic. Last year, it was a real $100 discount which meant we could buy the 3t at less than $500 excluding credit card, shopback and gift card discounts.

Your anker charger (assuming it can pump out 3A and is a USB C to C connection) won't be useless but it won't be fully utilizing the phone or the charger's capability to the max, unlike if you used the same charger on a fully compatible phone like the nexus 6p, then you'd get almost double current flowing.

Agreed. To sell it at $400, could be the phone was stolen.. Unless that's a start bid price then I'm sure it'll jump to at least double of that

Er 1.4A isn't very fast though, it's probably considered average in this day and age. QC 2.0 in 2015 already had 2A charging. But it is consistent with my experience on the 3T using non DASH chargers.

not the conventional fast charging tho

The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X don’t support the most popular fast charging standard, Quick Charge 2.0. Instead, they use the new USB-C standard to charge at a rate of 15W (equivalent to 5V x 3A). At full speed, that means you can get about seven hours of battery life after just 10 minutes of charging the Nexus 6P – very fast indeed!

The texture back cover is like sandstone. Remind of me gen 1. Color coded buttons and sim tray.
Comes with starwars theme black casing. It's those soft tpu type.

The easter egg thing from the Star Wars edition looks pretty cool (the hologram that appears when placed on top the phone screen). And I'm not even a Star Wars fan hahah.

Even if its true, that's at least 3 months away. These days you really can't expect to get a phone and have it be 'the best' for more than a couple of months. That's fine with me as ultimately I use a phone for at least 2 years before changing and as long as I get the best possible when it is time for a new phone, I'm perfectly content with it for the next couple years. In fact I'd be more than thankful if it lasts me the whole two years without giving me an issue to begin with, more so this time round since I'm moving from having always owned an iPhone to OnePlus; purchasing an export phone with no warranty. (I'm cool with it but it freaks my parents out 'not playing it safe' lmao, even if I'm paying for it)

With OnePlus phones at least they are a lot more affordable while being pretty awesome as a whole - enough to compete with flagships. I do have a feeling the OnePlus 6 is going to be a lot more expensive though (but still remaining to be affordable when compared to say, the next Samsung or Apple device of 2018). With the popularity of iPhone X despite how ridiculously expensive it was priced at, I think it'll indirectly pave the way for others to start increasing their price too.

E.g. Samsung joins Apple and begin to price their phones from $1k while Google and others go for ~900, and OnePlus remaining affordable in comparison but starting at $700-800
