Anybody recontract iPhone or Samsung and straight away trade in for op5t or sell it away to get back some cash?

i sold recently to redwhitemobile, trade in prices (means you buy another phone from them) higher than buyback prices (without buying another phone) by $20, sold s8 the first time for $830 trade in price, carousell also roughly the same price, 2nd time sold mate 10, both are decent for fast hassle free deal, just make sure the phone is untouched and all the protectors are present (i had one -$20 because i lost the back protector for mate 10, unsealed box is ok
check the prices and compare between different phones on the telco and trade in websites then decide on what phone to buy, redwhitemobile has the best prices so far i see

Thx! Will check out carousell. Btw we can just buy the phone from Telco without opening the box right?
I did open the box at telco to check though. I believe should be fine as long as you don't activate the phone, depends on buyer ba

I too sold iPhone 8 and X before but during my research, RedWhiteMobile was not the best deal. They are not the worst but probably somewhere in the middle of the pack.

Share my experiences.
Last week I just did the same.
If you want those shop to buy back.
Please get an Iphone X (more value)
And please check the color demand at the moment based on their Buyback price listed on website. Every shop have different preference of color, normally is about SGD30 - 60 different.

One more thing, telco MUST open the box and activate for you. (my experience from M1), this is their procedure. but do not worry about that, all buyback shop will accept phone been activated within 2-3 days. More than 3 day will become a trade in price. AND...after telco close the phone box, do not use it at all! This is their condition.

the price of Iphone X is fluctuating, I have just check, the current buyback price is 30 buck more that last week for some shops. I guess is the holiday season boost of sale/demand. Please do it ASAP :s8:

Generally, iPhone will fetch u a better price in terms of net profit. However must take note of the phones on promotion, for eg. Google Pixel 2 was on promo for SINGTEL. Thus, if u recontract and get the pixel 2 from st, you would have a higher profit.

There are tons of company that takes in New Buy Back phone. I usually go to the ones at Far East Plaza.

Correct me if I am wrong, opening the box is not activating the set right?

I recontracted from m1 as well and the staff did asked me if I wanted to open up and check so I guess it differs from staff to staff

Opening the box is not the same as activating the phone.

Opening the box allows u to check for any cosmetic flaws on the phone, which may result in certain amount of money being reduced from the selling fee.

Can share how come need to split into 3 separate purchases? Cos they have a limit of $500 of gift card purchase per week, so I thought at most u need to split into 2 separate purchases over 2 weeks?

Then why need to split 2 credit cards? They actually don't allow 1 credit card to buy above a certain amount of gift cards? If so, what's the limit for each credit card?

I think it may limited to 500 per credit card so I split it into 300 and 400 and it worked

Looks like it isn't a big problem for people to unlock while driving. Cool!

Is there an option to keep phone awake with profiles?

Set longer screen on time? Hahah

Anyway, I use my car's bluetooth as a trusted device so it won't lock

Even if the screen goes off, just double tap to wake :D

Activating the set means putting in a sim card and turning it on, not just opening the box
