Quick update - looks like my phone has the ghost touch issue too.


but it doesnt look as severe as the ones that has been reported. so far, it only happens in the cpu-z app. And monitoring it for 2 to 3 minutes, it only happened about 3 to 5 times.


will continue to monitor and report back if things get worse.

mine also same.. earlier when test didnt do long enough.

to reproduce
1) on NFC
2) put phone on top of NFC card. u will hear a sound - i use credit card with paywave
3) wait for 2-3mins
4) see random touches

Mine also have phantom touches. Anyway doesn't bother me in terms of my usage. As long as I don't open it. I'm fine.

Received my 12/256 CN set and it has the phantom touch as well after testing with NFC/CPUZ

competing to get it refund even thought i do not turn on NFC all the time and it seems to only happen when you turn on NFC

Which tempered glass you using now if there are any? Still want the smooth glass feeling but seems like only way is to peel off the pre applied film... Hahaha but I don't think I should do that

Looks like everyone got their screen protectors from MH. LOL.

To my knowledge, there's only 2 more vendors that will be bringing in local glue glass screen protectors for the 7 pro - mobilelite (reputable seller from carousell) and casefactorie (they carry the zeelot brand of screen protectors).

Both are doing pre-orders now, but mobilelite is going the extra mile. I contacted him and he says he wants to test out the screen protector for himself before selling them, just to make sure there's no issues.

I'm still on the fence with op7 pro. Only good thing so far is oxygen os and likely good rom support.

Op7 pro screen now got ghost touch issue and they didn't even bother to give 3.5mm dongle.

Curved screen is also headache for screen protector.

Redmi k20 has almost same specs except 90 hz screen and not sure ufs 2.1 or 3, and no alert slider. But it has 3.5mm jack and that is still important to me.

Software wise probably need to unlock and flash miui.eu rom to make it bloatfree.

Finally the redmi price is much cheaper and maybe will be sold in local xiaomi stores.

So far the pros of redmi seem to be more than the op7 pro.

I will just stick to my op5t for now and wait.

k20 camera comparison doesn't seems any better.. color seems abit tone down.
