not sure why u want to compare K20 Pro with OP7Pro.

if u can stand the phantom touch for sure u can go ahead with the op7 pro.

Lol. Troll. If u don't understand the situation of the phantom touch. Just don't comment. The issue only happens when u launch cpuz.

Just like noobs don't understand the loca glue and start blabbering nonsense. Lol.

Consider the fact that xiaomi is one of the inconsistent vendor that release software update as and when they like it.

Coming from Google Pixel and OnePlus, i always look for vendor that has consistent security updates to their rom. Xiaomi? Forget it.

Infact I do own a mipad 4. On the day I got it, I request to unlock my bootloader and replace the crappy MIUI to HavocOS. From there the experience is so god damn different.

I waiting to see op7 non-pro reviews and got any issue first.

i think the standard op7 should be fine since it looks exactly the same as 6T, except improvement in the chipset, gpu, camera lens and fingerprint scanner. OP doesn't seem to put in much effort to this phone already, and likely to focus working on the new 7pro baby :o

the only thing i'm worried is whether the screen panel has ghost touch issues like OP7pro. my guess is it won't since not using curved screen at all and more likely to use back the same old screen/tech as OP6T - if it's ain't broken don't fix it :o

time will tell in a few weeks time~

Ghost touch is software related . Already kinda confirmed.
Updates above 9.5.1 will experience it.
So don't update if you use nfc a lot for now.

Not true, ghost touch is happening on other apps such as chrome and YouTube

Cpuz is just an easier way to test if you have it since it's triggering the sensor.

Looks like your the one not understanding the situation

Bro, the fundamental question would be, what is your handphone cover?

If it is those that covers gao gao de, then almost any color is OK.

If you don't use, or uses those with clear backing de, then perhaps, need to think thru.

i'm tempted too but i'm more interested in the red variant which is sooooo much more expensive :s22:

By virtue for it to be sold in local stores, do you mean local sets or export sets? If export sets, price will still be reasonable.

If local sets, then alot of price difference.

I'm still on the fence with op7 pro. Only good thing so far is oxygen os and likely good rom support.

Op7 pro screen now got ghost touch issue and they didn't even bother to give 3.5mm dongle.

Curved screen is also headache for screen protector.

Redmi k20 has almost same specs except 90 hz screen and not sure ufs 2.1 or 3, and no alert slider. But it has 3.5mm jack and that is still important to me.

Software wise probably need to unlock and flash miui.eu rom to make it bloatfree.

Finally the redmi price is much cheaper and maybe will be sold in local xiaomi stores.

So far the pros of redmi seem to be more than the op7 pro.

I will just stick to my op5t for now and wait.

I think the reason xiaomi did it is to kinda stop third party distributors to unlock the phone and add their own crapware and spyware before selling to consumers. Think this is common in China.

But I agree that miui support is horrible and I have never bought a xiaomi phone because of this.

But the op7 pro now just doesn't make much sense to me.

Hardware wise the redmi k20 pro attracts me more than op7 pro.

Well at least there are xiaomi stores in Singapore. No OnePlus stores in Singapore and to some people this makes a whole difference. I think no matter how much they mark up will probably be cheaper than getting a op7 pro. But only time will tell.

Oh yeah see the noob who said miui got ads toking now.. Lol what loca glue.. U tell me which tempered glass best for op7 pro? Dun have right? Loca yr Lan lar

Lol yeah I seriously think curved screens are stupid. As for loca glue, people seriously need to read up more about it.

Loca glue is essentially glue, it forms a bond to stick the screen protector onto the phone screen. This could actually be a permanent thing and may even just damage the oleophobic coating on the phone screen.

The glue that is mostly used to glue the phone glass/LCD onto the digitiser is essentially loca glue and that is supposed to be a permanent thing. Imagine doing the same thing but this time sticking another glass onto your phone glass.

There are horror stories online where people have their screen protector cracked and they have problems removing the screen protector because the Loca glue is stuck on the phone screen. So they need to resort to using loca glue removers or using heat or some kind of alcohol to remove the loca glue residue from the phone screen. This most likely destroyed the oleophobic coating.

So whoever wants to use UV cured loca glue better think twice. I much prefer normal glass protector as they can be removed and replaced easily without fuss and residue left over.

Wall of text aside, have you used it before?

Removing it is as simple as removing a regular tempered glass, with little bit more force that's all. If you had done the application properly there would not even be any residue like you claimed.

It's OK. Only those with experiences will know all these.

Agree. So easy to remove. Does not destroy the original screen condition or coating too.
