wah you are quite strict lol, that time duno which iphone model few years back got a small tiny light scratch i just accept at ST shop coz i alr asked them to open 2 sets le. paiseh to open the 4th set if i reject the 3rd one and the staff keep pressing me to accept it as a very small flaw

ofc i totally get what you mean that customers do have a right to get a swee swee product by paying ~1k for 7 pro version. but my OP7 is much cheaper



ok let's see how they compare heh. quite excited to find out. then aagain i don't take a lot of photos, but when i do take some, i still expect decent shots la. just want to tell my friend that OP7 cam can match with xr at least lol

For me, regardless how much is the phone, it is our hard earn money isnt it? Ask me buy something which has defects out of the box i cant accept, even give me discount to accept the flaw i also cant. I am just anal about it lol

Haha yeah. Anyway I'm 80% sure those minor flaws are of my own doing, so it's fine for me. I also like to make sure it's swee swee when buy a new phone. Haha.

No la I just wanna confirm if the mics are as bad as what it seems in reviews. For me, mic and speakers quality comes next after camera. Spoilt by HTC.

Waiting for Alex to come up with OP 7 non-pro review. Can't decide between this or K20 pro cause I hate curved screens. Alex, waiting for you to help me make a decision

So some say Wdigital have stock and collected of OP7, others say waiting for shipment. Do they have? im so tempted.

Been playing with the OP7 non-pro last night and comparing it with my Pixel 2XL.

1) the resolution of P2XL is better, text sharper and colors in videos slightly nicer. Op7 is way way brighter and no black crush. P2XL screen looks grainy and yellowish when dimmed.

2) the speaker sounds surprisingly fuller and louder on the Op7. Can feel the "surround sound" while P2XL is just firing straight at your face. Overall OP7 better than the P2XL.

3) both phones are fast. OP7 faster in loading pages and apps by milli secs but P2XL more fluid and more pleasant comfortable transition. Equally good.

4) cameras wise, OP7 is obviously not as good as the pixel. But firmware 9.5.5 improved the clarity and night mode. Nothing much to say for P2XL, the photo quality is just pixel level good. Makes me wanna take picture of anything for no good reason just to zoom in an admire the color,details and sharpness.

5) software: Oxygen OS is like a pixel Andriod with slight tweaks adding useful functions like extra navigations controls etc. while still retaining the light skins.fantastic.i like Oxygen OS a little better.

Not comparing the battery life because new phones will have better battery.

Haven't tried gaming or other intensive stuffs yet because I don't do that in my daily use. The biggest surprise is I feel that the P2XL despite being more than 1 and a half years after released still seems to have a lot of life left in it and still fast and fluid. I feel it could possibly survive another 2 or probably 3 major Andriod OS update.

For the price I got the OP7 for, which is almost half the price or the P2XL. It's every bit comparable except for the camera.

Actually ah, decision quite easy for me. OxygenOS over MIUI any day of the week.

Will probably just do a quick video since a lot of things are similar to Op7 pro. haha. but so far i'm really liking it. Performance top notch, software experience is one of the best for android, price is cheap, now got stereo speakers (which I care more about than 3.5mm and wireless charging), and camera is at a level that I think is good enough already. Still can't fight Pixel 3a la, but I think comparable to other high end phones. I think the IMX586 got more potential too, and i think still got room for improvements with software updates, or just use gCam port.

So far battery life seems not bad too with 2hr SOT with 74% battery (last full charge was at around 10pm last night), which seems a bit better than when I was using 7 Pro.

So far the only thing i'm slightly disappointed at is probably the screen. Like most of the past OP phones i've used including the 6T, the screen is a bit more reflective when under lighting. Not sure if it's the type of polarizer they're using or what. 7 Pro is a bit better in this regard though. But the display is still legible and bright enough outdoors and no issues indoors, so it's still acceptable to me. Though i've not really heard much reviewers complaining about this, so maybe i'm just being too critical.

This one i not sure if they only have enough stocks for those who ordered already, or they have spare. That one have to call in and ask one. haha

Are there any drawbacks to purchasing a China set (GM1910) flashed with Oxygen OS? Any additional steps needed to be undertaken?

Or should I play safe and buy local set?

Assuming everything's the same except curved and non-curved screen, The decision is v straight forward if you hate curved screen as much as I do, don't even need consider k20pro le

Unless you have a tighter budget then k20pro is a better choice. Or else, you gotta factor in other things like motorized pop-up cam which is going to be obsolete in a year or two, just like ugly big notch is frowned upon these days. Then still got ui experience, which is going to make or break a phone imo. Add in camera prowess, waterproof/resistance and all the small bits if want to make life harder to decide lol

I think UI experience and software support very important in the long run. Cool stuffs like pop up camera and notches are just a fade.

i've received my 7 pro from wdigital. my gawd, the tempered glass is not even suitable for temp use,.. it doesnt even stay down.

yeah umm theres the 50 dollars zeelot (unsure spelling) one.. i feel overkill.
i've ordered some from aliexpress recommended on reddit. just gotta wait.. argh..
its a pain to use this lousy temp **** lol. the popping sound haha

I think I was the smart a55 that recommended zeelot.

In any case, the problem with new phones is that you will trial and error with alot of different screen protectors until a better one arrives.

For me, I'd just rather go with a shop that can install for me and reject it on the spot if it's unsatisfactory.

So far no complaints. Holding up pretty well after 2 weeks. Fully covered screen, very good clarity and no touch sensitivity issue. At the end of the day, u don't change screen protectors like underwear. Get a good one and don't worry about it anymore.

Also, since you've already spend 900 to 1000 on a phone, what's another 40 bucks to have a peace of mind.

u be happy tonight haha.. i am upgrading from 5T .. its kinda a different exp haha.
switching is a breeze. all apps were backup on titanium on the old phone.
xfer to the new phone and restore .. some apps that need authen need to reinstall otherwise its a breeze
