Anybody got any experience applying uv tempered glass? Should self install or wait for ** end then go get people help? Gxgx!

I did mine myself. Try to do it in a brightly lit environment and make sure the surface you're working in is perfectly level.

What i did was i used the cardboard insert from the phone box to level out the phone (the bump makes things difficult)

Normally in the sp packaging you'll have a wet and dry tissue as well as a microfiber cloth.

Remove the factory installed plastic sp, then use the wet wipe to clean the phone, then use the dry wipe to wick away moisture.

Next just use the microfiber cloth to wipe the phone down again, take care not to leave any fingerprints on the screen.(best to wash hand with soap before beginning to get rid of excess oils.)

Then use the dust removal sticker to just gently remove any specks of dust you can see. There should also be 2 guide sticker included. Stick them on the top ( just covering the speaker grille) and bottom ( roughly about the same amount as the top)

Next just open the loca container and pour it all out directly in the middle. Try to do it as close as you can to the screen. Check and make sure that there are no air bubbles trapped in the glue. If there is then you need to wait for the bubbles to go away first.

Now it's time for the fun part, take out the sp, remove the protective plastic and align it with the top guide sticker(the sticker will be taller than the rest of the screen so you can rest the sp along it) position the sp above the phone at about 15-20degree angle. Once you are satisfied with the positioning, tilt the phone slightly so that the glue can start flowing. (Alternatively you can also just lower the sp very gently until it comes into contact with the loca.)

When the glue comes in contact with the sp, wait a couple of secs and lower down the sp fully, its important not to just let go abruptly as that might cos air to get trapped inside.

Once that's done just wait for the glue to spread out evenly. When you see that the glue has finish spreading and there is no blank spots, just use the uv lamp to cure the loca.

Excessive clumps of glue along the edges can be removed using alcohol wipes.
Some people will suggest using tissues to soak up the excess glue before curing.
I prefer to do more clean up after finishing as there was once when i did it almost perfectly and end up poking the tissue under the sp leaving a bald spot at the corner.

I think if not used to it better don't apply youtself. Last time I tried doing on a curved screen for a Huawei phone and it was not easy man.

Wont spoil coating


Ya those dont know how to do it better dont. Else wait for whitestone to come out with installation tray which is easier to install. Else if never take extra care when aplying, glue go inside speakers, buttons, good luck to u

Are Hydrogel screen protectors good? Need something temporary until (and if) Whitestone releases one for OP8P.
