But confirm vpost won't open any package ? Cuz last time I ordered so medical stuff ship to cgw.. Ji tao cannot bring in... That's y I wonder how the hell they know what I order... When box didn't state anything

I got use vpost before and i think its for some expensive earphones i bought in japan. From my experience, they do open the package but they didnt open my earphone box... they just wanna check your receipt..prying open customer's item is asking themselves for trouble sia..

They will open to check that it's not some illegal items and then they will pack it back as it is..

How long did they take to send ah?

Cant really remember exactly, but if im not wrong, i chose the normal delivery i think it took less or around one week to arrive..

sometime it take 1-2 days to register package delivered to your suite, else can always live chat and verify (live chat closed on Sat & Sun)

Ah okok, shall wait a bit more..hopefully by Monday should be registered and okay to deliver liao.

Just wanna ask if rooting the device will affect updates such as ota updates?

I'm coming from ios and this is my first android phone. Still reading up on rooting

I'm not sure if rooting with affect OTA updates. But I didn't think much & went ahead with rooting with TWRP recovery installed.

My set was shipped with CM 11-20140707-Nightly-bacon but the LED was not working. Then I installed CM 11-20140719-Nightly-bacon & things are working fine now.

I did received an OTA updates prompt for CM 11-20140709-Snapshot-M8, but my calendar & crashed. Even the Setting crashed, can't get in to check things.

Messages i dunno leh. I think whatsapp groups will still be there cus is tag to phone number. Contacts i'm using google contacts, sync can liao

U sync with google account for contact. WhatsApp is out of luck.

yeah, updating most likely will break the root again, and u have to root again.

i have almost all my android phones rooted since 1.6. not much advantage for simple user like me.

many alternatives exist for the power u need from rooting.

yeah, that also means you will break this break that, and you have to fix this fix that.

the time wasted, maybe can get you 3-5 next generation phones if you put them to good meaningful use. not worth the trouble. what's the use of wasting time to make the phone faster. you waste 1hour to make it faster by a few micro-seconds. i laugh

people become developers because of their interest or too much time.
