i am not sure on how to re-root from adb as the command fastboot is not working for my device...even the simple root toolkit is not working...my phone refuses to enter into fastboot mode for whatever reasons

i tried adb sideload a stock rom...but it came out as error..adb push a rom to my sd card but i cant access from the ColorOS recovery

cant figure on why it keeps rebooting into recovery...the physical method into fastbood mode (vol + and power button) is not working too

Have a good rest. Just don read anymore stuff. I believe u have read tremendous amount of info for the past 11 hours. U need to rest.

His phone comes with a twrp recovery with full root.

Binary is install thru SU app.

Bootloader Is fully unlock.

Bro Is able to do a OTA update as well with no problem.

The phone can't detect firmware and thus boot into recovery. It's the usual procedure when OS is not present.

It seems he is following the procedure to install back the OS but from what I read. He is missing a step.

All will be fine tomorrow. Will rectify for him. Have ask the Bro to have a good night sleep.

Will post the result tomorrow.

Oh yes...please be my saviour..or else my one week old phone will be just a nice looking paperweight

see ya tomorrow...you're my only hope now...as even in xda forums..they are clueless

Just rest well. As long u can see fastboot on phone and it's booting to recovery. It's not end of the world..

End of the world is when u see a blinking red light and u can't even see the word fastboot.. or even feel a vibrate when u power on.. that is disaster

I think better to bring your issue to XDA & ask for help.

Attach some photos / video of your problem. Get ready some information on how u did the rooting.

For mine, I did the root from adb & install TWRP recovery, all the manual way, not using any one-click solution with bat files.

He didn't use one click root.

Cause I am the one who rooted that phone and flash twrp did the root. It's the same procedure i strictly followed and same goes for the past 50 sets. If it's wrong, I am sure it should be made a big fuss in HWZ by now.

I never believe in one click root and will not use it unless I don have a choice. Shortcut is not the ultimate solution.

Yup, I went through the manual way of rooting.

Also, accidentally format the cell, wiping not only the cache but all of what was in the memory. Left with no OS to boot, only recovery.

Let's focus on getting the recovery work first. I'm not too sure but it seem your bootloader is lock or your cell was not root properly.

Is it possible to re-root again but install TWRP recovery img instead?

Once in TWRP recovery, u can then sideload other roms, that will be step 2.

Bro.. just rest... put the phone at one side. Don do anymore. It's Sunday. Go and enjoy It. Ur mind now all adb adb root root push push recovery zip.. unhealthy terms lah..

Later all the adb push u confuse and u push wrong img or zip file then really can kiss the phone goodbye.

Surprisingly, fastboot flash twrp gave me root as well :s22:

no lor flashing twrp dun give me root access. I went ahead and change the dpi and cannot wor. Then i go flash supersu.zip then can.

But my root wun last if i flash another rom?

I solved my driver problem through the driver installer and sdk manager. Can scan my s3 not opo then did this then okay liao.

ADB driver http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver

http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#win-bundle sdk manager

(extract and run the sdk manager.exe then deselect all the driver and install only andriod driver under EXTRA tab)

Then go to device manager and you should see your 'ONE' as unrecognized. Right click update driver and choose update. Then browse my computer followed by "let me pick....." and 'have disk'.
broswer for the sdk manager folder and go to sdk/extras/google/android_winusb.inf and open it
And choose the first step, google driver should be installing and you should see your device connected to unrecognized computer, authorized it and you should be able to use adb commands
After that follow this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cVJ-oKZ4g0 should be fine. Thats how i did mine

And before you do anything type adb devices did yousee your device there?

Hope this help.

After fastboot flash twrp, i reboot into twrp and use option reboot into system and it prompts if i wanted root. When back o google play and updated the supersu and done!
