how to change the sound settings now?

Last time in CM11 , there is a quick toggle to switch between Sound / Vibrate / Silent / etc ... now there isn't any?

That's one major complaint about lollipop regarding how it handles sound notification. There is no more such thing as silent mode etc.

Perhaps cm is working on something about it.

No diff lah. Whether OTA or flash manually. It's the same files, not like there will be secret sauce in OTA.



Actually I seldom believe in OTA. Cause OTAs only overwrite and add stuff to your existing setup, it doesn't really clean up anything and may introduce some problems, although in most cases it's safe.

I always clean wipe and flash from scratch, to ensure that the new software works as intended.

Troublesome lah but Titanium backup is your friend.

In this case, it's slightly different, because the ota is also the entire rom, just like our usual custom roms.

That being said, a factory reset is always recommended, with titanium backup to restore user apps/data.

Why u wanna reflash? Nothing wrong no need reflash what. Mine is my WiFi slide turn on then it just stuck there, can't detect any network.

Flashed the cm12s. Also has signal issues. Totally no reception at all sometimes. But that's not a major issue to me.

The issue for me is that the transitions are not fast enough. Like when you click on the back button, there is too much delay to the previous screen. Can't seem to find the transitions scale anywhere.

Edit: Found it. I'm a idiot. Still like got delays while opening apps or pressing back button

I'm tried flashing CM12s direct over my CM11s(with xposed modules) and it was fine till I installed the new Alpha xposed and rebooted, my opo went into bootloop

Does seem like it's worse. Will observe ba. Sometimes it's the battery calibration is off, and needs a while to adjust. Lollipop is supposed to be better for battery life.

Err did you dirty flash without disabling your xposed mods first? If you did so, then yeah likely will bootloop.

Also you need to check which modules are now lollipop safe, even though the alpha xposed sorta works, but does not mean the modules you using now will work.

Anyway I don't use xposed mod nowadays, since cm12.1 is good enough for me now.

I think you should have updated whatsapp long time ago so don't think that's the issue.

Try figuring out lollipop's priority mode to play around with notifications to see if that helps. It sux though. Stoopid google.

it is just a matter of flashing an unofficial recovery then the root package.
heck, some recovery even offer to root for u.

i flashed stock 12s, I manage to install TWRP and install SuperSu but when i launch the SuperSU, it is a black screen...

Just to add, my bootloader is unlock, I install TWRP using the fastboot...I install the supersu by going to TWRP recovery and install the SuperSU...Don't know why it cannot be open...

i see my events and reminders are given priority interuption, if i off that i won't receive any vibration for whatsapp...

have u try manually flashing the package if u allowed TWRP to do it initially?

i installed oxygen.. lots of funny problem... in terms of apps and the clock and contact keep resetting..

so gone back to 11S
