guys I need help... got my phone just now, from the local seller on qoo10 (Westernhouse) and upon putting my sim card in (carefully, but the bottom edge of the sim tray is sticking out about half an mm), it doesn't recognize the sim card, in the status bar it shows that there is no sim card. I went to mobile networks and selected singtel, but got some error message about the network not available.
Can anyone assist? Thanks

Without the simcard can it be closed completely flat? Its weird that cant close with the simcard in it.

Yes there is one way to put the sim card on the tray, but the tray can also go into the slot upside down. I actually put the sim tray back in upside down with 1mm sticking out and thought it was ok.

Then I took out the sim tray again and turned it 180 degree and realized I was wrong.

So try again. Also the sim card is quite loose on the tray so you have to push in the tray carefully or the sim card may go out of alignment. The tray is supposed to be flushed with the cover, not sticking out half a mm.

Yes there is one way to put the sim card on the tray, but the tray can also go into the slot upside down. I actually put the sim tray back in upside down with 1mm sticking out and thought it was ok.

Then I took out the sim tray again and turned it 180 degree and realized I was wrong.

Yeah its resolved alr. I factory resetted a couple times and took the sim card in and out, and it works now liao. Cannot explain why also. Maybe is never push in properly or smth.
Btw cannot use the normal SIM cut to micro SIM, need the proper micro SIM then will work. I tried both alr, only the second one works fine.
In case y'all wondering how I managed to get seller to refund, I told him the problem and he said I'm the first buyer to have this problem (before it got fixed with the factory reset and stuff). He then checked if got stock to exchange; there wasn't so he offered a refund and that taqbin will come tmr to collect. I at first said ok cos I really don't know what to do liao.
After that I went to reset and try to insert sim card again, and then it works liao. Have no idea why, scratch head lor. Told him then he said its funny (and yeah, its funny for me too cos I don't see how a reset can fix that. Maybe the sim tray never push properly or smth).
Anw this seller damn good, responsive and reliable. Can contact him and he respond very fast and offer solutions also. Highly recommend (tmr then I write short review on qoo10 for him).
