if both at around same price leh?
Edit: Is the wifi weak for opo? Heard around. Is it ok if your router is in living room and you sit in your room blocked by a wall?

OPO has a more updated SoC, Snapdragon 801 vs the 800 on the Note 3. Although in real usage, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

If you need IR blaster, then go for Note 3 la. It also has microSD card slot and removable battery if those are what you prefer. Note 3 has also quite a huge developer community so there are definitely custom ROMs for it.

Regarding AMOLED burn in, um you're only using till end of the year, don't think it matters. Moreover the newer AMOLED panels doesn't seem to have this problem imo

If you ask me, I would use the Note 3. It's still a very good phone, with a better screen and expandability.

you guys think I should get a 2nd hand opo or a note 3 for a temporary phone till end of the year? I really can't decide. Opo has good hardware and I can always flash any roms I want but this cm ethics put me off a little bit.

Note 3 has larger screen size and a ir blaster which I wanna use for my fan lol. But the burn in issues and the fact it's a 2013 phone kinda annoys me.

Some help please thank you! :D

Get a note 3. opo as a company is shady as feck.

hardware software issues.delays.poor customer service. I wont be buying from them anymore.

Note 3 is an excellent phone. I have a OPO and it is overrated.

I will never accept their yellowish screen as a feature.

Cyanogen OS 12 update is now rolling out to OnePlus One

13 April, 2015

Cyanogen has finally released the much awaited, Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 update for OnePlus One. As promised by OnePlus founder Carl Pei, the new firmware is available for all OnePlus One users.

After an unexpected delay by a fortnight, Cyanogen OS 12 brings a Material Design based UI and brand new ART runtime to the OnePlus One. Boasting of super customisable options, a new App Themer will allow applying themes even to individual apps.

New Cyanogen email service powered by Boxer also makes a debut to the platform. The new email service brings several features such as Microsoft Exchange support, multiple account integration, LED color for email notifications, and more customisation options.

After a few hours of usage, it seems slightly less smooth than OxygenOS. But the features do make up for it.

Is this based on 5.0 or 5.1? Will it inherit the Lollipop memory leak and battery life problems?

Based on 5.0.

CM12.1 will be based on 5.1.

Now on CM12.1 unofficial roms... dunno whether want to switch back to this. CM12.1 still got some problems as a daily driver..
