9 out of 10 million.
Yes here to stay. From s3 till now still the same old hamsters designing the motherboard.
Wow,this is enlightening......so if iphone have problem too...same old hamsters too?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUJUjBDnPss or
iPhone 6 dead pixel! - MacRumors Forums (Pixelgate?....being sarcastic here).
Note: Not a Apple hater. Just sharing tat all phones will have some mfg defects......if it's a flaw...then it's a issue with the company.
Think the key question here is how widespread is the problem? I can understand ur concern since u've the phone died on u twice...but that is ur personal experience. If there is a flaw with the motherboard, it will occur more frequently where Samsung cannot ignore as consumers, with social media, make a big noise about it.I switched from my IP4 to Note 2 last year. I really loved how Android was open source and how everything could be customised. Until my motherboard died less than 3 months later. Banged table at Samsung and got it exchanged 1 to 1 after having to wait for 2 friggin months.
Guess what? Less than 18 months later, the motherboard gave up on me again. Hate to say this but Samsung does have an issue with the motherboards. And their aftersales service is TERRIBLE.
I'm back on my trusty IP4 while waiting for IP6 stock to come in. I won't rule out the possibility of going back to Android (especially after seeing how gorgeous the Sony Xperias look), but NEVER SAMSUNG AGAIN.
P.S. those who experience the sudden death syndrome (or any other motherboard issues on their Samsung) can save the $32 evaluation fee and replace it for much less at SLS.

Just wondering, what type of charger do you use to charge your note 2?

All phones, regardless of brand, will a % that are defective; some companies will hve less and others more......depending on the quality of parts used, the manufacturing process and etc.
After sales service, a very important part of marketing is sometimes played down by companies. Consumers who enjoy great after sales service, eg, 1-1 exchange.....will hve less to complain, thus, less noise on social media. Unfortunately, Samsung is not great in tis area.
Hving said tat, Apple do have a good integrated hardware and software but I'm not a fan for several reasons and I esp don't like companies dictating how I use my gadget.
I'm not a fan of Samsung...and I wish HTC, Sony, LG or any other company comes up with a android phone to beat Samsung; this will push Samsung to come up with better phones. Good example is Apple launching Iphone 6 and 6+; Samsung had to launch their note 4 earlier to catch the `wind'.
I choose my phones base on my needs and wants. Eg, if Xiaomi comes up with a great phone tat rivals Samsung, I'll buy it in a heartbeat![]()
I use the supplied stock charger. why?
Yeah! I will use any phones base on my needs at the time. I'm using Note 4 now because I never tried a stylus phone. I have used Apple for many years before, but after using Android for more than a year now, its a bit hard to go back to the restricted & closed environment.
