Knox warrenty void 0x1 normal meh or custom recovery and rooted. Good luck in exchanging 1 on 1.

Did you try to root your phone and brick it? I saw Knox Warranty Void = 0x1 (1)

Even tho I'm a new samsung user, I have used Android long enough to know root will void warranty instantly. So no, I would not even start this thread if I bricked it.

Last time my wife iPhone 5 went dead and they accused us of jailbreaking it which we haven't even got a clue of.

Your Current Binary = Custom. I thought it should be Samsung Official.

Sounds like either you or Red White Mobile has change the firmware to a custom one and that might be the cause of the issues.

It is going to be hard to ask for 1:1 liao. :(

If I bricked it due to rooting. I would not be so naive to post it and asking for exchange. Honestly I dont know what happen, I'll guess I have to wait for Samsung then.

Guess I'm really bad luck, 1st time using Samsung already got this.

TS, no need to explain to us here. You need to explain to Samsung Service Center. I guess only you or Red White Mobile knew the true story.

As for to buy Samsung or not in future, it is your choice. If what you said is true, you are just damn unlucky.

When you brought is it sealed set?

Yeah, double seals. First seal broken, then another seal pasted over.

Red White Mobile said agent set. But when I reached home I realised it has M1 apps so I just dismissed it as telco set.

I know, that's what I will do.

I was outside without phone just now, so couldn't update this.

Anyway, I went to Samsung after work & I showed them the photo showing the error message i posted above (I never root so I have nothing to hide). The lady went inside & talked to the manager & technician, then she came out & approved the 1 to 1 exchange. I didn't even have to proof anything because they never mention anything about rooting.

I even asked her what does the code mean, why it says "custom" & whether is my firmware official, she said it could be hardware failure.

But since I didn't bring my receipt with me just now, they can only initiate the exchange once I bring the receipt tomorrow. Well, finger's crossed!

For disclaimer, before someone put words in my mouth, I never accuse Red White Mobile of selling rooted or telco set. The root is only released a few days ago, so it wasn't out yet when I bought. Samsung also never mention rooting. As for whether telco set or not, it was just my assumption that I saw M1 apps, but after the factory reset they were gone. So I never explicitly say RWM sell telco set.

Agent set got m1 things inside?

Appreciate the support guys, but lets not talk about RWM. It was just my assumption. I have no proof nor trying to accuse them of selling telco set.

I really have not idea why knox is tripped, maybe during my resuscitation process by pressing any buttons, I somehow triggered something.

Now that Samsung agree to exchange, lets give it a rest. :o
