Any reviews on this car? Price seemed to drop drastically after the recent COE blip...

Really rock bottom pricing now. I tried the 1.6L version last year, felt it is a bit underpowered to my liking. I may consider the 2.0L given the current pricing.

There should be some reviews posted online.

Price dropped because gojek ordered 1000 units to be fleet car. Not much demand when it's a private taxi now

but there aren't 1000 insignias registered...maybe gojek back out of the deal and opel is stuck with the cars or COEs.

Anyway, such price drop can only benefit interested genuine buyers

I supposed they would have selected the diesel variant for its better fuel economy.

Are you also interested in this car?

I see... I haven’t test drive yet, but the price for a luxury sedan is rather attractive though

Yes, really good price. Hopefully there is no other gimmicks.

Nonetheless, while the specs looks good on paper, only seeing and testing it for yourself is the real test.

Quite true, but I am concerned about the high fuel consumption. Understandable as it is a 4x4 and heavy, but my mileage is quite high. So I am undecided

Performance always sacrifice fc 1
Mine rear wheel drive 2 litre turbo is 8.9litre at 70 % highway .
Awd should be lower , and more expensive to maintain .

I won't buy a brand new Opel. When the time comes to sell, you will cry. Unless you are confident you will hold it long term.

No doubt the Insignia is a very good looking sedan though.

Can drive for 5 years at least since got 5 years warranty. After resale value should be just paper value, I guess.

I don't know but what would be a likely resale value for a 5 years old Toyota or Lexus? Paper + $X or just Paper?

Yup resale value is overrated , most important is the price you bought

That's not how the resale market works. I can buy a cheap B&B Korean sedan at $70+k and still have good resale value.

It's all about the demand for the vehicle. Generally, Singaporeans are very brand conscious. Brands like Opel, Volvo, Renault, Peugeot, Skoda, etc are less sought after and typically even dealers will not offer you much.

On the other hands, there are good deals in the resale market for these brands as the 1st owner would have absorbed the bulk of the depreciation.
