Yup. I recalled having a long discussion with Mike about their customer service, or rather lack of, but he was insistence on it being not important.

Luckily I went for Tuas Power. Not the best rebate available, but having be painless for the past 5 months or so. And customer service very responsive.

Geneco has a few hundred thousands of consumers.

You expect zero fault and complaint?

Maybe check the complaint records with EMA. They can provide a bigger picture than what this thread can say.

Is anyone on ohm 25% below tariff plan. ?
Anyone with discount code ?
How is the experience with ohm or geneco !?
Thinking of ohm or geneco and switching soon
Using 25% dot for almost 1yr. Ohm billing info very messy. Will change to fixed rate on another oem soon.

My contract with Ohm is ending in early Jan 2020, and I'm planning to change to Sembcorp's Sunshine Plan to 1) get the free AMI meter and 2) do my little bit to help the environment.

Should I sign up now, or wait till closer to the date? I haven't received any renewal offer from Ohm and anyway their renewal offer on the website is not very enticing.

You can use Sembcorp referral code QNAG46QD to get the free AMI meter before the promo ends. =:p

How is it messy? Could you describe?
ok i try :s22:

ohm billing comes from 2 sides, sp and ohm.
In sp, it shows usage 345kWh from 16 Jul to 16 Aug at $62.69.
509kWh from 17 Aug to 16 Sep 2019 at $125.01

In ohm, it shows 345kWh from 16 Jul to 16 Aug at $62.69.
509kWh $92.49 and adjustment $32.52 from 17 Aug to 16 Sep 2019 at $125.01

Hence, the adjustment of 179kWh isnt reflected at both sides.
In sp, $125.01 is actually for 688kWh. In ohm, the cost is indicated but not its usage.

I need the actual usage for the total of the 2 mths to be shown to inform my tenants that the electricity usage somewhat doubled. :(

Yup, try to confuse readers here.

We are talking about no response to complains by the company (no CS), and yet here you're harping on faults/complaints. We expect faults for a big company such as Geneco (actually, I don't know how big they are, but just giving them the benefit of doubt), smrt etc, but to not respond to support request?

If I understood your statement correctly:
in SP Bill:
16 Jul to 16 Aug: 345kWh @ $62.69
17 Aug to 16 Sep: 509kWh @ $125.01

in Ohm's web portal:
16 Jul to 16 Aug: 345kWh @ $62.69
17 Aug to 16 Sep: 509kWh @ $92.49 + adjustment amount of $32.52

So, $92.49 + $32.52 (from Ohm web portal) is equal to $125.01 (in SP bill).

The question here would be what is this "adjustment amount of $32.52" and for which billing period.

Now my questions to you are:
1. are you using AMI (smart) meter? or which of the period above is the "estimate", which is the "meter reading month"?
2. what is the "averaged kWh usage" before this period? is it nearer to 345kWh or 509kWh or 688kWh? Because, 345kWh+179kWh is actually quite close to 509kWh. So perhaps your "16 Jul to 16 Aug" bill was underestimated and then "adjusted" during "17 Aug to 16 Sep" period.

Geneco has the second largest market share (after Keppel Electric) and rating of 3.5/5 stars.

Yeah, but second largest genco, doesn't equate to positive experience. Look at Ohm, they don't exist in the top 5 market share but they got top in customer service.

smaller organization provides better customer service cos got lesser clients and problems to look after mah. =:p

It might be some miscommunication, I have PMed you the details, check your inbox.

So big customer base, all the more should focus on customer support.

Don't see SP getting complaints about (non) customer service? They must be very small then..

The rating and the poll of this thread are skewed.

Majority of users who don't have problem will likely keep quiet.

Just like in EDMW, majority are anti government but election after election, only 30% voted for oppositions.

You got me wrong. The rating survey is by EMA, not this forum...

Hahaha, not sure if EMA would include rating survey for SP... else I am sure SP would be bottom of the table

Negative. I was able to find out the hidden usage after making many calls to ohm. Unlike ohm, last time sp billing will show exactly the total of 2 mths usage (1 mth estimate + 1 mth meter reading), with consistent rate.

To other ohm users, do your calc to see if the rate is consistent every mth. :)

What you think and what I think are not important. So far, I've only got good response from SP.

The only time they failed to response is when I already switched out to Tuas.

Glad that you sorted out.
I took Fixed Rate plan and with AMI meter, so no need to track.

Hopefully I would not need to call any of them *finger crossed*
