We are in a period of global reopening and we could have crazy shortages, just like there is semiconductor shortage. Dont be pennywise and pound foolish and stay with SPWS. There could be a crazy surge for a week and it could wipe out all the savings you have made till date plus more. In Investing there is a concept called hedging. Going with SPWS is like taking all the risk yourself. Instead go with OEM and hedge your risk. You are already getting 20-25% discount on the regulated tariff, this is very good already.

how many ppl staying? looks high

it's high, anyway, it's my tenants. thought of switching for them to save money.

didn't expect SP wholesale to be so expensive too, be it peak or off peak.

could it be due to hotter August, the tariff is higher?

It's about demand and supply, i believe demand went much higher than supply, means economy is actually doing well

I researched yesterday and none seems offer non contract fixed price plan except iswitch at 19cents plusbto take effect on 9sep, so I just switched last nite, from sembcorp which is expiring on 3 sep, in this arrangement, there is no penalty to incur rite from sembcorp? Or will sembcorp actually cut my power supply on 3 sep and left me with no electricity during the interim?

I just compared my SP wholesale tariff for Jul and Aug. there was an increase in 70%.

Jul was 0.10, while Aug was 0.17.

crazy increase.

hope this month will go down.

Hi fellows, been a while since I'm in this thread, if I wish to have a highly detailed breakdown of my electrical consumption, the most effective means is to request for an AMI meter (as in, ahead of the general availability by forking out $40) and the day by day (or even hour by hour) breakdown will be available in SP app right? For those who have AMI meter installed...any downtime during the installation?

My Tuas Power contract ending in End Oct 2021. I emailed them for any new promo, they replied back with this new rate

PowerFIX 18 and PowerFIX 24 - 30% discount off 1st mth Bill ($0.1944/kWh before GST)

is this rate the standard rate now among OEMs?
