Good opportunity for their staffs to work overtime and earn more money during these IT shows as well....or they don't practice overtime.

Installed my OpenNet today. There's two lines coming out from the termination box as seen in the pic, named as 1 and 2. Saw the person testing on line 1 only and he told me line 2 is for future use, not being tested now. Is this true?

Actually it's not true, as end user you can demand to test it. Since this TP belong to you home unit. Don't be caught by surprise when "the so called future" you find out there is defect with it.. and you can't use of sign up for another service.

*Don't ever sign the form of agreement if it's not to your basic requirement .. else regret will be there in the future

Can correct, suppose to have appt to install openet on 1/Aug, but now i receive no sound from OpenNet.
Rather disappointing.

it's too common to have this disappointment feeling, its not just you but most of the Singaporean or even anyone that signed up for Fibre service... Delay is a excuse, Reason is for delay .. n it keep going round n round .. to my advice.. just escalate to the management or even IDA to settle individual problem.

Punch them hard ... and you will get wad you punch ~~ :s12:

Could it be the ONT installation fee (Thou shall not mixed up between OpenNet installation fee and ISP installation / activation fee)?

The opennet contractor drop by today to find out why there wasnt any signal coming out from my opennet port. They discover that the wire was broken and said that if I want to get that fixed, I will have to pay $280++! The thing is that after it was fix by the opennet guy a few years ago, I didn't even touch it!

anybody had the same experience?

its been one month since open net install the terminal point, till now still no signal !!!!!

follow up twice with open net, the CSO said the team is trying to access a "ROOM" to activate the signal for the fibre. cannot give definite time on when it can be done.

Saying that they are unable to get permission to enter the "ROOM" to activate the point.

May I know what "ROOM" are they refering to?

Question on resale HDB flats:

Taking over the resale flat, any possibility of checking the TP; since it seems repairs are costly and new owner has to borne?

Suppose main PC is in one of the study/bedrooms, is it advisable to totally move the TP into the room itself, rather than leave it in the living room near the entrance and just relay on cat6?
