OpenNet just came my house to install the TP etc an hour ago. I have read that 1 or 2 has got signal low when their isp came to install 1 month later.

Will my signal be low if I got readings:

1310nm: 0.68
1490nm: 0.52
1550nm: 0.41

or they are 2 different things? I forgot to ask the installer about the signal thing earlier and now he is gone. :'(

Here are my reading just installed.

1310 - 0.43
1490 - 0.32
1550 - 0.23

4 contractors . I requested the TP to be installed in my bedroom on the 2nd floor. I'm staying in a maisonette in Choa Chu Kang. Anyway they rescheduled my installation to the 21st. It was suppose to be on the 17th. 6 meters in total. Workmanship is good but The plastering of the chipped brick located outside my house isn't pretty. But the layout of the trunking looks nice and clean. No other complaints it was good. 1h 30mins completed. They came at 9 am on the dot.

nice installation overall..

I am not bothered about the readings rather I am more concern about the looks of the trunking all over my house. haha.

At least they are professional and did a nice job and did not charge me extra for the 3m that went over 15 m :s13:

i'm surprised people still going on abt this.. suffice to say, your results are WAAAY within spec. no need to worry and no speed degradation expected

the installation technicians, Malaysians, drilled 2 holes above my main door. one is wrong one and so another was drilled adjacent to it. both holes merged forming a large hole. after wiring and trunking, one hole was left unrepaired and people can peek into house or protrude a wire to pick the door lock from outside if they really want to.

so had to go buy wall filler / gout to repair the holes.... then got to buy paint to repaint inside and outside.

they did bother to repair the holes if u did not ask them to...my neighbour got them to patch up the hole but it has ugly cracks...

My installers were SG Chinese, they automatically went to cover the hole with trunks or whatever that liquid-clay-thingy was.

Same~ they covered the holes outside the house automatically but there were some cracks/holes from the trunking which I asked them to help me fill up.

At least they were nice enough to help ^^

apparently the putty filler they used is cheap type. when applied it looks nice, after it cures and dries, hairline cracks appear.

Just had mine done, first hole had problems so they drilled a second one.

All done by a single chinese guy. He patched up the first hole using the filler and covered it with the trunking. All siew siew done.

Apparently he's the sub con and the 2 indians doing the meter testing are another sub con.
