macha the same lol but mine refuse to back down and my mom dun have time to wait for them also. Zzzzz. guess i wun be going fiber anytime soon. maybe till they close down ADSL service la :s13:

:s22::s22:

Btw, here's our conversation(the general point as i understood)
Me: I want the tp to be in my room, where all the computers were at.
ON: in the future, TV need fiber, computer can go wireless.
Me: They won't just build any infrastructure and not use it.
ON: in the future, TV need fiber, computer can go wireless.
Me: Wireless is slower than wire..
ON: Wireless where got slow
Me: Wireless is really slower than wire.....
ON: Wireless won't be slow.
Me: Wireless is really slower than wire, trust me..........
ON: *looks undecided, i think he went to find his head, cause i went back to my room while i let him talk to my mother*
ON head: Told me the same BS(to cut things short)
Me: Who can predict what will happen tomorrow, and further more, if tv really need fiber in the future, i would pay for thr tp relocation....
ON head: Then you need to understand that we will write this(like you insist to put tp in a not recommended spot, ish your problem in the future)
Me: fine with me

Then they start to drill:o

you should not let them tell u what to do in your own house. You should have
1. call opennot on the spot to ask them to explain
2. proceed with install but note down that location installed is not you intended location on the job form. at a later date bring up with opennot to ask them to relocate
Booked an appointment and there they came following mth.

2 Malaysian Chinese came and ask where to install @, i say my bedroom. They say there no way for them to do tat and they insist tv point is the best. I say the living room to my room is @ least 20M long how am i gonna connect thru wire. They say can use wireless, i buay tahan told them wireless can not get full speed. They still unwilling to do it and install beside my Tv point using 3M of their wire only. i try to reason with them but look like they refuse to back down. haiz....

my reading as following
1310 - 0.66
1490 - 0.55
1550 - 0.38

how is the reading?

But what if opennet taichi to the sub con, then you gg..
I think best is to make them install at your preferred location, if they dun want, turn nasty, they cannot just walk away one.

Just finished reading from page 1 to 34.

Just installed by opennet today's morning, done by a indian guy who came at 0830 morning even though appt was 9am. I asked him whether he had taken his breakfast and he replied he did.

The moment i opened the door to let him in, he went in straight to look out for my tv in my living room and replied me this was the place that he would put the tp here(which is beside my power pt, phone line, scv is conceled i inside my feature wall). My flat was bought 3 years plus ago and which hdb had done our flat swee swee by concealed all the telephone ,scv cable line and power point line inside the wall and no way they could used exsiting scv trunking line.So this time , trunking is unavoidable. The trunking used were those stick on the wall type, no nailing except the some drilling for the cable to come into my unit from the riser outside, it was neatly done and he used the sillicon gun to plaster it when the trunking and wiring were done.

After that , he proceeded to do some testing using a black instuctment and the riser outside and also at the tp .Then he made a phone call and spoke a language i dont understand. After that i signed the paper and he siad everything done.I gave him a packet drink and also $5 and thank him for the job done. Whole work took about 2 hours and one man show all along.

The reason why i allowed them to install the tp in my living room is because i don't want the trunking to cut across my whole living room up and down.Although my pc is wired connection from maxonline in bedroom, but if need to, i don;t mind go wireless or use home plug.

This OpenNet thingy is ridiculous! From its website, the schedule for my block was revised 4 times! My precinct consist of 8 blocks but 5 were done n can subscribe to their ISP but the other 3 still waiting n pushed back half a year!
Guess by the time it complete the whole system, it will not be call Next Generation BN but Old/Obsolete Generation of BN!
Seem OpenNet used the same Method of Operation as the company that install the MRT platform Screen Door...:s31:
Singapore is so small n yet it took this company so long to fixed up! Should learn from the Korean...haiz...

Personal preference ba i guess, some won't sub IPTV, and want fiber for pure internet only, some want IPTV:)
I don't like wireless for high speed connections, is like not getting your money worth.(Because of speed cut)
Problem for me is that i'm not sure how to do wirings:s22:

my experience with them is that , they just install the point in the house without much consideration to the original layout.

they are looking for fast bucks and sloppy services.

personally, i guess next time, the criteria for sub-contracting should take into considerations of the service the contractor can provide rather den comparing the price only.

Yea, that's what i think of them too..
They suggested me to put near my TV, but it's not even close to a power socket, power socket is hidden in the TV cabinet, then they suggest me put near ceiling....
