Has anyone tried to use the Oppo pen as a camera shutter to take picture? I can use the pen to take screen shot but it can't take picture with the Camera app.

not trolling, but I didn't regret not buying the phone. If you put on a case, does it still feel thin and light? I doubt so. It becomes just as 'heavy' as other foldables.

The huge downgrading of the camera system is a deal breaker for me.

I wish n3 has wireless charging. would have gotten it now (with the knowledge of the specs of n5). That's the missing piece I was hoping for...

Thus I been rocking this nake unless doing some sports.....but need a skin on the back if not really too slippery

np all comments are welcome, its a forum for discussion. But if you put cases on both n3 and n5, definitely can feel the difference lah. You can always wait for the next foldable but just that foldable cam are usually not that impressive compare to candybar flagship.

Truly want good photos get APSC or FF sensor cam with lenses, and obey the photo rules in iso, shutter speed and aperture there is just no comparison.

Look at the new Xiaomi candy modular concept... needs adding 35mm f1.4 laser link lens also. Even those with high end FF cameras, all also depends on personal skill level, experience and photo composition.

This device is great in what it is, futuristic, super slimness when folded, yet a powerful multi-tasker on the expanded screen, and takes great photos. The cases as with all cases add bulk sure but it assures protection in our investment.

Summary is buy what you like and afford... Why waste ur own time then comment buyers remorse. Any purchase is a lost after resold, don't buy if don't wanna lose any money. There are no one size fit all... Candy bar phone photos however the acclaim, are also computer processed and over hyped ;)

What you said about apsc and ff I much agree with. But there's also good in sharing buyer's remorse if not as a caution to others.

basically it all comes down to what the buyer him/herself actually looks at when buying a phone. Its the same where people buy redmagic phones and the main reason is definitely not because of the camera system. Likewise for N5, i have no regrets and to me, the camera is definitely usable for me, and i come from full frame DSLR/mirrorless systems. And coming from N3, N5 has been a good upgrade despite the "downgraded" cameras. For me, the other main upgrades like the much slimmer body, cpu upgrade and bigger screens are all good upgrades for me, and the cameras are good enough for my everyday use, including the 8MPs. For me megapixels are not be all end all, and owning higher megapixel ultrawide/selfie camera phones, the photos that come out from them are not all the best either.

Actually the main USP of N5 is the slimness and battery life. But I see many put super gao case just for protection. Nothing wrong about it to maintain its original condition for resale market value in future but that kinda defeats the purpose of its thin design.

Every and any phone will have it's quirks and "con". And as with any nice and gleaming super feature of any device after a while the hype feeling will definitely simmer after using the device for a few days.

Also the Find N5 news was already leaked with the UW spec long before purchase in Sg was avail. "Caveat emptor... " most have purchased knowing what's was a liked or disliked feature.

So just find it much hassle some like treating the device like a buy and throw used goods after less than a week. First world problems..

blame apple.

all these accessory BS started cos of antennagate with their iphone 4, then folks put bumper to "fix" that issue.

fast forward, phones became glass sandwiches and ppl put cases on em to protect it.

i was gonan rock the n5 RAW but my psyche has been conditioned to have some form of protection, hence the magnetic case is on it now

Haha I guess it was more of a hope that the UW is not as bad when in real life comparison. Doesn't help that we don't get many good comparisons and the preorder deal is much better than the post po deal so people get tempted. Personally I decided not to buy and keep my n3 but I kept going back and forth on it as well

Hello guys, just switched from Fold6 to N5 two days ago, like the battery life and slimness, dislike the setting layout especially the sound setting is confusing, the vibration is a little soft even at high intensity. Any idea how to get the CN theme store? the global rom theme literally boring. And is there a way to have different screen layout for the cover and main screen? I prefer not to display all the app on cover screen, only for communication apps, and main screen for viewing files, drives, RDP.

Hi all,

Any Samsung Candy Bar phone user change to OPPO Find N5 Fold here?

What is your experience?

I personally when down to try the OPPO Find N5 Fold, the photo taken from the camera is not as bad as I think.

I compare side by side with my S22 Ultra and feel that the photo from OPPO Find N5 Fold is better.

What stopping me buying is:

1. There no proper storage for the stylus

2. New to Color OS

Any advise is appreciated!

If you use stylus (Oppo pen) often, then will have to find a way to carry it around. By the way the pen cradle is also a charger, like Airpods case. The pen can also be used as a camera shutter using the button on it. The camera function works on my N3, but not on N5, hope it's just a software bug. It's useful to have a remote clicker for camera.

I also switched from Samsung to Color OS, it's almost same same .. 😊
