For public transport, you can disable authentication. I just double tap and the lock screen shows up and just tap.

I only use fingerprint authentication. For nfc payment, my lock screen has a gpay shortcut on the bottom left. So I double tap to go lock screen, swipe up the gpay and fingerprint scan and tap.

Speaking of nfc, the nfc chip works much faster than s24plus. When I tap the bus reader, it's almost instantaneous. On s24plus I had to wait a split while.

There are also forumers who reported having a better mobile signal strength on x8. The comms chip on x8 is tokong good
MediaTek is 💪

Anyone using the non pro model downgraded from a larger screen?

I am looking to replace my current phone with a lighter model, would have preferred the screen size of the pro but I must use TGSP so I can wipe the screen everyday.

Not sure if I can get used to such a small screen. I've always used phablets

The find X8 screen is not that small. Just slightly smaller than the x8 pro only.

anyone has any recommendation of cases that supports wireless charging?
I bought a few magsafe cases on taobao. Plenty of cases available.
For this link below, I bought the 58rmb and 78rmb cases. The 78rmb is abit heavy and bulky. I'm using the 58rmb case. Works well with smartdevil tg

My last few phones screen size have been around 6.7 inch. The x8 is 6.59 inch. I changed to x8 from s24+ which was 6.7 inch display. You can try out the x8 at stores. The x8 display size is not very small per se. But it depends if you can get used to it. I have used it for 3 weeks now. Even though it's just 0.11 inch difference from s24+, I definitely prefer the larger display. The display width of the x8 is visibly smaller.

I am thinking to try x8 pro for the larger display or wait awhile for new phones next year. But very likely I will change to a larger display next year with large capacity silicon carbon batteries.

I have a spare xiaomi k50 ultra. The larger display is really enticing for me. But my user experience on x8 and coloros has been good so far.

coming from iPhone 13PM.

the comfort is really good.. screen although abit small.. but its a matter of getting used to it..

the reason why people use big phone is bcoz of battery life and SOT.

now with most SOC becoming very efficient.. the phone can hit 1 day usage without much problem...

yeah.. battery life for phones nowadays are good to the point that there's no need to carry power banks around when going out anymore, unless it's overnight or something.

and I only charge to 80% for most days.

Good point about display width.

I have been using Huawei Mate 20X for 6 years, which is 7.2 inches and the display width is much wider compared to current phones. Thus I am still planning to keep the Mate 20X for media consumption. Nothing beats the large screen but the camera and battery life is so bad now. I'm also tired of the phone banging me when I keep it in my backpack strap.

Not really I got the large screen for the size!

Thanks everyone, will try to play more with the phone in store.
