transferred from reno 4 pro to 12 pro.
all smoothly done,...except for LINE messages, must backup to google then restore from there but i nv try.

douyin apk, got to install the version on official website then can use. those apk found on other sites, it will say not compatible....all other apks previously installed still work

for apk try go find at apkmirror .. most of the apk should be able to be found there .. else install 应用宝 store then install douyin from there .. BUT you need to off your palystore protect .. cause most likely playstore protect will kill off the douyin app,.

As for transfers .. yes .. people like to take commission but dont like to do work .. not new trolol ..

lastly for specs .. there's not major big differences from the above 3 model BUT .. reno 21 f is not offical singapore most likely a import set.

there is a default clone phone app on reno 4 pro, reno 12 pro also have.

turn on both apps, select which is migrating and which is new device etc, select what items to migrate etc, from android to ios or wat etc.....then just let it run, make sure both phone got enough battery...coz can run for 30 - 45 mins or more, depending on amt of data to transfer. the instructions are very clear, just follow, wont go wrong....but of coz all the email, grab, tada, gojek or any app that requires login or linked to google etc, got to re-link / login all over.

I'll give up messages from SMS & Whatsapp, & start anew.

Browser I use Opera & it is able to synch all my links, login details etc.

Photos I'll copy to Google Drive & redownload - I don't use Google Photos app.

oppo reno 12 pro, there is a "reduce notifications feedback" under notifications & status bar" > more settings.

have to uncheck it. i noticed that notifications are being missed out when i use apps like google maps etc. the setting will lower the notification sound and vibration when app is in full screen.

all the app notifications, also got to make sure its enabled when setting up as a new device, cloning the phone from old device, some settings will not be activated / enabled.

Compatibility concerns/issues eg app/apk, Play store, Security & OS updates/upgrades...are all these the same as if I'm buying from SG?

Most value for money mid tier
Redmi note 13 pro 5g global rom $200+++ can get. Comes with sd7s gen 2 chip

Most bang for bucks flagship killer
Poco F6 pro $400+++ can get

The other brands either no global rom or 600 above

Oppo reno 12 pro is nice the display have very nice pebble like smooth curved edges
With very nice flagship quality display colors
But the chip for non China version is a disappointment. Mid tier at most.

But i eventually bought ipad mini 6 cos of the A15 bionic chip and ios
