Osaka Accomodation Recommendations

Among the following three hotels near USJ which are currently available for booking on Agoda:

Hotel Universal Port
Hotel Keihan Universal City
Hotel Keihan Universal Tower

Which hotel is a better choice? Hotel Universal Port has a higher rating on Agoda but the additional beds are sofa beds as compared to the other two hotels.

Is there Laundromat nearby if the hotel does not have one?

depends on the day of the week. If during weekdays, think you should be able to find quite a number of hotels meeting your requirements. However, if it is weekend, will be tough. You may have to consider the business district instead, which are cheaper during the weekend then weekdays.

Alternatively, try find hotels with 2 double beds rooms

Seems like they have big rooms and within walking distance to Namba.

Sorry, I have missed your comments. Will consider them when looking for the place to stay. I am staying in Osaka slightly longer than intended. I am now considering if I should stay in Umeda or Namba area since I have yet to explore Himeji and Kobe.

My first choice was this hotel called Hotel WBF Namba Kuromon
just below Nippombashi station. just in the center of Namba, dotonburi, kuromon, denden town. and they look like they are still a new hotel (earliest review is 5 months ago). but for 2A2C, you need to book 2 rooms.

Holiday inn Namba and Ibis Styles are nearby. They r right inside dotonbori so very little walking.

You can use airport bus at doton plaza or airport train. But u will need to change to subway.

Usually I’ll use Nippombashi station exit 5 and walk across the road. This is because there is lift at exit 5.

Highly recommend Sunroute Namba Hotel. It is within walking distance to the train station and also walking distance to food streets and the Kuromon Ichiba Market.

ts if you want to save time and money on washing clothes, suggest you take Airbnb instead.

i took one that was near Nagahoribashi exit 7.
was able to wash my clothes every night and left the dryer function on while we slept, and hence save a lot of time and effort after we come back.

It seems like most who chose Namba hotels will stay nearer to Nipponbashi station? I was looking at Namba Oriential Hotel too. My main concern is just the walking distance to the train station on the last day. I foresee heavy luggage with all the toys the kids are buying. =P

I am trying to avoid Airbnb as my kids can be noisy at times. I stayed one near OCAT before. With 2 queen beds at the place, it is not a bad choice but the walk to Dontoburi can get boring as it is at the housing area of Namba.

yes because more hotel choices nearer to nipponbashi mah and also cheaper.

from nipponbashi station you can go via the underground Namba walk that connects to Namba station.

what was exactly what i did a few days ago.
and i lugged all my luggage from nagahoribashi to nipponbashi station before going to namba via the namba walk leh

i would think OCAT/Namba area or further to Nipponbashi area is better.
Dotonburi plaza also got buses to airport.
Osaka station also good choice but hardly any airbnb accommodation there.

I stayed Ibis Styles Namba.
Because their standard rooms are very small, not recommended for 2A1C. Ok for couples or solo travellers.

Wun recommend my default osaka stay to anyone but normally i prefer tennoji shinimamiya for ease of airport access....and costs...

Thank you! I will check out this hotel. I am also considering Dontoburi Hotel (about $130 per night) for double room. The negative point in the reviews is that it is old and dated. Anyone stayed here recently? Is there a better place that could bet with this price and location ?

stayed in dobutsuen at hotel chuo oasis in oct, its a business hotel, clean and quite well priced

very polite staff, free lockers use and near 2 different train line.
