sorry for asking a few stupid questions...i alway heard pple mentioned that develop phone apps to sort of earn of passive income once the app is sold to the buyer.
Searched online but it pop up a few links which i click here and there then it somehow need to pay to attend the app development course? :(:o:(

1. So I must attend an paid course to learn app development?

2. Once sold the app, the passive income last forever or for 10 years only?

3. Need to go which platform to sell the app?

4. How is the sold app's passive income being calculated?

I think you are not considering the subject comprehensively and have not consider the cost and business model thoroughly.

Just a simple question, how often is operating system and mobile devices refreshed? Now often these refreshes breaks applications? Have you use an application for 10 years without upgrading? You will quickly knows if your idea make sense.

Next you did not consider what makes an application popular, why should someone continue to buy an application that did not upgrade for the last 1 year. How about your competitors?

Then you will realise this action itself is an ongoing business. It is never a passive income. There is an active portion which you need to constantly maintain to keep it going, so there are investment that never cease if you want to keep ur money rolling in.

I'm only speaking from secondhand experience here (seriously, I must be the only person in the whole Bay Area that's not building some sort of app), but here's some thoughts to get you started:

1. So I must attend an paid course to learn app development?

God no. There's a great Coursera course on iPhone app development. Just get yourself a Swift book or two from the library (and learn Swift, not old-style Objective-C; Swift's the way of the future) and a copy of xCode and you can go nuts.

Forget Android; seriously, don't even bother. iPhone is where the money is.

2. Once sold the app, the passive income last forever or for 10 years only?

As long as you keep it up on the App Store. But, as people have mentioned above, you can't just post it and leave it - you'll need to revise it every so often to keep up with changes in iOS.

3. Need to go which platform to sell the app?

You write the app; publish it to the App Store; and Apple handles the rest. Seriously, they've got a pretty good infrastructure around the app ecosystem.

4. How is the sold app's passive income being calculated?

Apple keeps 30-ish percent of all the revenue from the app (including in-app purchases) and passes the rest on to you.
