The swapping monitor thing reminds me of when I switch to low resolution in CS2 with RTX 4000 cards and it takes very long to tab out. Sometimes will get stuck in a loop when that happens(hopping between monitors like what you mentioned)

I think RTX 5000 might have solved this issue, now cs2 takes 1s to tab in compared to 4-5s previously. Must be some kind of display scaling issue
Yeah very similar symptoms as you described. Good to know 5000 series resolved the issue.

I believe it is more of bandwidth issue with multi high refresh rate monitors, because on single monitor it does not have such symptoms.

Yonkit,

Do you have this problem where for Cyberpunk everytime you enter the game the HDR Brightness under HDR calibration goes back to 400? It only happens when I enable HDR10+. Just wanted to see if you have this bug.
yeah happen the same to my 3080 revert back to 400nits after exit game and start.

how is your experience with the HDR10+ if you like how it looks?
Looks amazing. Normal HDR looks meh now. Blackops 6 have been running HDR10+ for a while now. Recently tried HDR1000 and I actually like it. Abit dimmer than running HDR400 true black but since I play in dark environment, it works very well for me. Infact, running HDR400 now seems abit too bright for me. The highlights running HDR1000 is insanely bright.

Also, I've tried going back to DP 1.4 and the colors looks noticeable weaker compared to HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1 is very punchy and I can alt-tab back to windows while in game without the screen going black momentarily. I've tuned my Samsung G60SD to the best I can and it looks INCREDIBLE. If anyone is on this monitor and want my settings, I'll be happy to share it with you.

Also, if you have an nvidia card, change your settings to these under Video Image settings in nvidia control. The video playback quality feels so much better.

Video > Adjust Video image settings > Edge enhancement "100%", Noise Reduction "100%", Deinterlacing, RTX Video Enhancement Super Resolution "Quality 2". High dynamic range "On".

Use this video and set it to 8K and you will see how insanely amazing HDR on OLED looks. I only use this video now to tune for various HDR settings. It will allow you to choose which looks the best. And it's an amazing video to test HDR. Make sure you open this video in a new tab instead of running it off here and set it to 8K HDR.

I love HDR10+ and watched the entire Season 3 Squid Games on my S25 Ultra. For some weird reason, Netflix on PC only allows you to use normal HDR and it looks way different than watching it on HDR10+ on my phone. Could be an app limitation on PC or something.

Wow very good information to share. I try the 3080 dlss 4 no questions ask it is good for upscaling tech however I am really hitting the 10GB vram ceiling while 7900xtx given my more bandwidth to move around. Maybe this time I stay abit longer with 3080 to see anymore changes after 1.5 years away

I'm mainly gaming black ops 6 and upscaling using DLSS/FG creates alot of input lag. My other games like Cyberpunk and other demanding titles maxed out I'm on very good FPS. Cyberpunk benchmarks I managed to hit 166 max fps on everything maxed out on my 1440p with great detail. I might try out DLSS4 once I am abit more free but BO6 itself I'm on 300-350fps stable with my competitive settings which is perfect for my 360hz Samsung. Only for this game I disabled gsync and v-sync to let the fps run wild.

I try the bo6 on HDR10+ and honestly it's looks great on Samsung 4k OLED lol and I play at 1440p it's really doesn't seems distorted at all.

Hmms seems like 5000 series still encounter the same issue, good thing it not happen on your new GPU.

Yes recently noticed it happening with the new drivers, my other monitor is 1080p 165hz, main is 1440p 360hz oled. Doesn't loop though, just causes other screen to black screen when I alt tab momentarily

Update on the monitors, I noticed significant issues with using DP + DP on my 5070 ti. Especially when the new M27QA (My 2nd monitor is 1440p) uses DP, not sure if because HDR became auto enabled, but the looping thing happened and I was just unable to use it at all unless i turned one of them off. Using HDMI(M27QA) + DP solved all the issues, which is strange.

My guess is that DP + DP shares bandwidth or something

Tests for High Dynamic Range Support In Browser & Display

https://www.testufo.com/hdr#color=#FF0000

  • SDR means Standard Dynamic Range (standard NTSC/sRGB colorspace)
Your browser is SDR if you do not see any flashing text.

  • WCG means Wide Color Gamut (greener greens, redder reds, bluer blues, DCI-P3 or Rec.2020)
Your browser has WCG enabled if you see "WCG" flashing.

  • HDR means High Dynamic Ranges (brightnesses brighter than normal RGB colorspace)
Your browser has HDR enabled if you see "HDR" flashing.

most will probabaly only see the WCG (Wide Color Gamut) blinking even if you have HDR enabled in Windows, the challenging one is HDR to follow the instruction in the test page to see it.
