i swear by this. im still using it. good midrange and tweeters with a pretty decent sub for boom boom boom

I recommend JBL 104, non-BT version is $179

Much better than those small teeny desktop speakers, and yet smaller size physically than the standard bookshelf speakers

rooks small.... is it enough to amplify for gaming/movies?

Using 104 BT version now..Running wired to my rig..

Was looking at presonus 4.5 but decided to go jbl..

Yes, of course dont expect big boomzzz, but definitely more than sufficient enough.

Most of those teeny speakers dont go down as low as the JBLs, and they require a subwoofer to even match the JBLs bass extension
Although make no mistake, the JBLs arent some bass monster either. Its more of quality than quantity

As per topic, any recommendations?
Not looking for high end ones..... just an average one with some bass for light gaming and youtube/movies
Budget: Less than $150
