ARC is HDMI that carry audio file. It's the same as HDMI. ARC port will act as regular HDMI if arc function is not turn on.
I think he means he wants a passthrough from xbox to soundbar to tv, with v2 however he needs to connect xbox to tv via hdmi and optical out from tv to v2 since tv has no ARC.

An optical cable is still cheaper than paying for hdmi passthrough.

Edit: V2 comes with optical cable included.

Hi all, Need some advise regarding the Edifier MR4 that I had just bought.

The Power button if pressed once is to switch between Music (Green Led) & Monitor (Red LED) mode right?
However I only got Monitor mode (RED) and if I pressed once, the Red LD will blink without any sound.

Secondly, May I know what's the Low & High frequency Trimmer button for?

I dont own the MR4

But low/high frequency trimmer is basically low and high shelf filter
They are used to either amplify or attenuate all the frequencies above (high shelf) or below (low shelf) the frequency cutoff point

Chinese version has extra mute function, press once to mute, press twice quickly to change mode.

High knob boost or lower treble frequencies, low knob boost or lower bass frequencies

PC graphic card have no ARC. :s22:
But if you use HDMI to connect from PC to soundbar just connect to other HDMI port not label ARC.
Sound will still transmit.

FYI ARC means not only sound but you can control TV and soundbar.
ARC is only supported by TV only, PC doesn't support ARC.

ARC/eARC is a TV feature where you only need to connect one cable from TV to the soundbar/audio receiver system, so other HDMI inputs to TV can also play through that single HDMI cable to your one sound system. This means I can have 3 inputs to a TV, but all can play through a single soundbar/audio receiver connection for audio.

If you only need to transmit sound, the HDMI on your GPU will work, just that there are no ARC/eARC features, However, to get the audio/sound working you've got to install drivers for it. If you are using Nvidia GPU, the sound drivers come with the GPU drivers. (If I remember correctly).

As for controlling TV/sound systems through HDMI, that is a different feature called CEC, which stands for Consumer Electronic Control. Totally different from ARC.

Yes, you can connect your HDMI to your soundbar. But it must be to an HDMI input port. The HDMI ARC port is usually an output port meant to display what you plug in to your soundbar to your TV. The only thing that can be sent to the soundbar via the output port is audio from the TV to the Soundbar using the dedicated ARC channel. That channel, as the others have said is only meant for the TV to feed audio to the soundbar like from the TV's Netflix app or from your PS5 connected to the TV instead of the soundbar.
The only way to send audio directly to your soundbar from your PC is to connect to an HDMI input port on your soundbar. And even then, to get the audio, you need to 'Extend' your display (windows second screen) to your soundbar.
Only then will Windows allow you to send audio to the second GPU output source. So best is to set it to 'Extend' and just not accidentally drag anything to the second screen that you can't see unless you switch your TV/monitor to the Soundbar HDMI input channel.
Even if you accidentally move a windows over to your 2nd screen, can click on the icon on your taskbar and then press and hold the Shift + Windows key and then click on the left or right arrows to move the Windows between the 2 displays.

Easy, Just buy LG C3 42" TV and you can use eARC function from PC to TV to Soundbar! Been using LG C2 for a year with eARC enabled amp and there has been no issues.
Too big for the viewing distance im using now. 32" seems to be the best
