PC Speaker recommendation

As per topic, any recommendations?
Not looking for high end ones..... just an average one with some bass for light gaming and youtube/movies
Budget: Less than $150

Thanks in advance :s12:

Received & set up my Edifier R1280dbs, indeed it's good value and wow-ed by it, better clarity than my Harman kardon onyx studio, similar bass, main boost now is stereo for better entertainment enjoyment.

Initially hooked up via monitor's 3.5mm and had average sound and disappointing bass, ain't sure why maybe due to sound from DP. After trying plug direct to CPU with same cable then the true capabilities shines.

Abit big though, have to adjust my monitor higher & placed vertically... may have to consider reposition again in future

buyed from where how come so cheaps $80 only?
dbs is the updated BT5.0 speaker with additional optical connection rite? can connect to your mothreboard optical out if it comes with one, should sound better

or can always get a usb dac for it to improve the sound though maybe overkill for such speakers and may not even hear the difference between dac and motherboard line out

from lazada, local seller with 2 year warranty.
Yeah with 2 x RCA line in, optical, coaxial and BT.
was $96 during 12.12 and + cashback $11+ so $85.

Very satisfied with the sound and aplenty of connectivity, will recommend it

My recommendation is to get a small Class T amplifier for less than $30 from Lazada or Taobao, and buy a pair of hi-fi bookshelf speakers from Carousell. You'd get the best sound for $150.

This is because using the monitor will use the monitor digital to analog (DAC) which is even more cheapo than high end motherboard build in sound card

Very very good speakers. But one big con is it "sleeps". It'll auto turn off and takes a few seconds to wake AFTER it detects sound. If you're playing something that is soft, it might not wake up.

It's really annoying.

But for the price and space it takes, hard to find anything that can beat it.
