so, 'attractive' means how much?

Means it's selling @ 3999 with 1 + 2 years warranty, Pioneer BDP-320 Blu ray player worth 650 (Now selling 549), free installation and delivery. 1 GI joe blu ray disc and 1 hdmi cable.

Understand that someone recently just bought another krp 500 @ courts megastore for 3333 standard 1 year warranty with no freebies on their 3rd anniversary celebration and need to Q up early for the coupon thingy.

How can the price be so dramatically different?! My god. I just bought it for 5k over with the BDP-320 and now it's at 3333??!?!??!

I wonder how many of the bros here successfully bought it at that price? Thanks!

Having said that, I just took delivery of the KRP-500A yesterday and it looks perfect on the feature wall.

U must understand that those who bought it for 3333 only had 1 year warranty, no freebies and still need to pay delivery charges. & u still need to come early to Q up for the coupons to purchase the tv at such a price. I went the next day and found out that the tv was selling at 4699.

n that tv is really really swee...

now i thinking of buying my second ps3 slim to act as a blu ray player...

by the way, just for some info. i plug my watt meter into it...
it consume about 330-350w... that means you are buring about 8-9 cents per hour watching the tv...

:)

I wasn't about to freak out; just amazed how cheap it went given that I just got it at 4788. It's really sweet and together with the YSP-3000, BDP-320 and PS3, it's totally awesome. I've absolutely no complaints at all.

Just bought a KRP 500A at C3 this afternoon. Would recommend to those bros who are interested in that model to go down tmr and get it. The pricing is definitely attractive.

Can you advise where C3 is? I am very keen... Thanks.

If you read the thread adjacent, you will know this fair ended yesterday mate...

Thanks. Realised it's a trade fair. Missed by one day.... Cannot believe it. Any kind souls can advise which shop (BD, HN or AH etc...) that had this deal at the fair? Thinking of going to that shop and hope they can backdate the deal? Thanks...

I was doing research on which TV to buy for my new place on this forum and other websites... from what I had gathered and what I had seen myself at HN, AH etc, Pioneer KRP-500A is really a good buy....

Although I have not collected the key to my new place, after reading about this offer I went down AH Laing Court this afternoon to try my luck as I had also missed the C3...

Thankfully they are still selling at $3999 with free Blueray player... Quickly placed order for one set... to be delivered next year after renovation done on my new place.... worried that the stock will run out as Pioneer has discontinued the production... Be fast if you are really interested... not many sets left according to the salesman (trust him cos this is what I have heard from many shops)...and dunno when they will adjust back the price...

For info after asking around these few days:

- HN selling at $4999 no further disc but can get 2 additional year (total 5 yrs) of warranty
- Parisilk selling at $4500 (think w/o GST)
- One authorised Pioneer dealer at Adelphi quoted me $4700... (Last 2 sets)

Congrats on your new buy. Let's sit back and enjoy the krp. Just for curiosity sake, where is yr new hse to be?

Thanks bro... New place is at Tiong Bahru...

I'm also looking around for a new HT system to match the KRP500A. Am interested in the Pioneer 1019 with Definitive Tech Mythos speakers and Velodyne spl 800i Sub. Posted some queries in the HT thread awaiting expert feedback...

U have any recommendation?

I think must see your budget 1st. HT stuff is very subjective. Alot of people also settle for HTiB and tell u sound very good. Just stick to the topic on this thread.

hi guys,

Just got my kuro500a from AH in liang court. price display on it is 4999. asked the for the c3 promo, he give me the 3999 deal, with 320 model bluray player n 3 yrs warranty but no hdmi cable n gi joe disc. So anyone is interested can still go there and have a look.

point to note : they pretty stuckup, today i just wore a plain t-shirt and short with sandle, the first two sale-person dun even bother to entertain me, just tell me no promo on now and walk off. when i was about leave the place and took a last glance at the tv, a young saleman approach me and we close the deal.
