So which hts u recommend ??

I am not using pioneer tV anyway.

do you really need a HTS? think again......

I'm on omnipolar , dun think it's available locally.....at reasonable price... but I realized i dun really need a solid HTS....even my TV can produce decent sound deneh....

still waiting for my new HD media player that can pass through HD audio format .....lossless audio should be more sexciting.....

so you got your Pioneer liaoz? usually they will give free HTiB one lar, can use lar, better than nothing lor....

trust me, if u can trade it that crappy HTiB, do it right away! get back your cash and generate some interest lol!

slowly take your time to hunt for the right HT for yourself lar. Wireless connection for rear speakers is something you may want to consider too.

Agree with SR. Take your time and get the right one!
For my sound system, it took me over a year to get the system I like and still loving it after more than 10 years! and cost me a lot.

why i love plasma so much?
1.Coz I work in front of LCD everyday, just want to spare my eyes from it......
2.Plasma is more energy effective, LCD is consistently wasting power all the way....treat it as a misleading info if you want
3.52" LCD is much more expensive than 50" Plasma
4.Plasma glossy screen is so 3D compared to matt 2D feel....too bad for PY700....
5.Plasma has more vibrant color, especially Samsung...
6.Plasma looks closer to CRT, especially for SD, but anything lower than 480i looks yucky too....
7.Plasma gives "more expensive" feel......

I have Pio 428 and Sony's very last kvhr32m31 super fine pitch crt. When it comes to PQ, crt is still the king and there is no question about that. The only downside is the its size.

I chosen Pio over Sammy, cos it gave better details and natural skin tone. Also, when it comes to white background, Sammy, Panny and LG plasmas looked washed out and lost all the details whereas Pio didn't lose the details on a scene.

For you to see how good plasma is compared to lcd, I will try to post a link next week for you to see. You will be convinced. From what I have encountered with sales ppl so far, over 90% of the time they f...... don't have a clue what they are talking about. Its all sales pitch for $$$$.
LCDs got big issues with dark clouds all over the screen. Check it for yourself. Please don't belive all those CR whatever manufacturers are claiming to be. I don't even believe on Pio plasmas either.

Personally IMHO, still analogue rules when it comes to SQ and PQ no matter how good digital technology is. It is all BS marketing make us to think digital is better and way to go.

anyway, I own a Samsung P9, equilvalent to 6 series Plasma 50" except the contrast ratio is only 15K:1 not 30K:1

But content is still stored digitally right? so the key is at the DAC and the shielding to transmit the analogue signal right?

I think you may have got it sl wrong, there will be 42" but it may just be an OEM panel from Panasonic or something.
There was previous news of Pioner acquiring their panels subsquently from other companies and also going into LCDs.

When more concrete info comes along, we will see.

Had a friend buy the LX 508 full HD panel, and it was mind-blowing...

there will be no 42" model in pioneer's 9g pdp lineup.

Hi Peter, no doubts whatsoever that the LX50 would be king of the hill Money hill also hehe...

The Pioneer range is that good that my eyes cannot really tell diff between other brand Full HD plasma and the Pioneer HD Ready series.

Yes do yourself a favour and check out Pio plasmas, but please take a time and compare them side by side with lcds or other plasma if you can. I would suggest you to spend hours or even days to compare them and if a shop let you play around with remote to adjust settings that is even better.

I own 428 and happy with it even though I watch free to air only and dvds. If 508 is in a more reasonable price, then I would gone for that not just for bigger screen but also defnitely gave more details even though it is HD ready too.

does it mean parts and labour included during the period ?

wat if the tv is beyond repair ?
