COURTS at Megatex told customers (by a manager who said so) that they have ended all relationships with Pioneer, which only 2 weeks ago i bought a Pioneer DV-410V HDMI DVD player from Courts Jurong Point.
Looks like it's the beginning... and soon nobody will be working with Pioneer anymore when they have cleared all remaining stocks of any Pioneer products...

Maybe sold out. And im 500% sure its a pioneer 428XG. :D :D

I'm 500% sure I was the one who bought it :)
it's the last one, display set, no warranty, when I went to pay for it, they
reduced the price further down to $899, then I got the 10% discount with the posb everyday card,
final price is $809.1

:)

Good hoot.

Hows the condition? :D

Pretty good, not marks that I can tell of,
but on the back, some black of the screws are already peeling.
Overall I think it is abit dark, but I don't have another to compare it
with so I can't really say. Worst part is that I don't have the manual
so pretty much I have to guess my way through the setting, but luckily
most of it is in plain english.

They have stop making those below 50". I believe with today lcd/led technology, this will make their 50" looks bad too. So I think is a matter of time for them tp pull out from the market.

I think what hw means is plasma tv. Pioneer audio/video player will be continue in Singapore market.

PS. They sold their video recorder product to Panasonic few years back. You can see their current series are all Panasonic looks alike anyway.

I think Audio House may still have it.

Got mine from Courts megastore @ Tampines on June 28. Can try there as i undestand that there are still a few pcs left. However, do note that it comes with only one year warranty.

The list price was $1,999. Tried to bargain but could not get them to shave anything off, not even waiving the delivery charged. However, during payment, there was a further discount of $100 from the system, so I paid $1,919 total plus delivery.

Alternatively, if you want to consider a 508 display set, think there is one at Best (Compass Point branch IF I recall correctly) going for $2,599. Just saw it over the weekend, but did not check condition nor age of the set.
